Hugs: they can boost your happiness, reduce stress, improve your health and give you a stronger sense of belonging. Yes, all this from one simple hug!* (And it's absolutely okay to also hug in non-approved locations!! πŸ˜…)

"Resilience isn't making the perfect call or being failure proof. It's being able to make a clear call, act on it and adjust when you need to."

Thank you Lisa Infante from Courage to Change Collective for sharing your knowledge, insight and experience with us all yesterday as part of Small Business Week!

It was also super helpful to work through your "Leadership Load Reset" worksheet together.

"In rounding off our edges, we lose our edge."

Wise words from Dr Gemma Munro at this morning's Women in Business Breakfast.

Thank you also to the panel members for sharing your stories, experiences and practical ideas with us.

It was also lovely to catch up with Margaret Haarhoff and Charmaine Turner!

"Am I consciously designing my future, or simply responding to what comes next?"

This was just one of the thought provoking questions we mulled over at this morning's North West Business Alliance networking breakfast.

Thank you Steven Todd for sharing The Happiness Triangle with us!

At the same time we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Portobello Food Kitchen Bar and got to know others doing business in the north west region of Adelaide/Tarntanya.

PS My response to the question?

Both...I love to consciously think about and design my future, while living fully in the present, and responding to what life brings my way! 🧑🌟

Thank you 5EBI FM, Swiss Corner, Issy and Frauke for the opportunity to share a little about my life and Resilience First Aid! 🧑

PS Resilience First Aid is not Mental Health First Aid...RFA focuses on prevention and MFA focuses more on crisis intervention. Both are important but my passion lies in prevention. 😊

It's been a while since I've been in a radio studio and I'm very much looking forward to this conversation with Issy and Frauke! 🌟

Why Swiss Corner? I was born in ZΓΌrich, Switzerland, and immigrated to Australia with my family when I was six years old.

Even though I call Australia home, I still have strong connections to my country of birth. It's also the one place on the planet where I can just say my surname and it's spelt correctly straight off without me having to spell it out several times! πŸ˜‚πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

We are excited to welcome Carey Hauri to Swiss Corner on Radio 5EBI 103.1FM.

From ZΓΌrich to Australia, Carey has built a career helping people develop resilience, wellbeing and a positive mindset. Join us for an inspiring conversation about life, culture and the power of resilience.

The end of the financial year is coming up soon and maybe your organisation still has some professional development funds to invest?

Resilience First Aid (RFA) is a practical, peer reviewed, evidence-based mental health certification that teaches strength-based skills to build resilience and wellbeing in ourselves and others.

Our people need support now more than ever and I'm here to help!

RFA takes a preventative approach to mental health, so rather than waiting until staff need professional treatment, they can take action early on and start supporting each other to connect and build mental wellness.

RFA is also a meaningful, measurable and practical option for organisations to meet their psychosocial safety obligations as required under the new WH&S legislation. RFA improves the mental health and wellbeing of leaders, managers and staff, and helps build positive, productive and supportive workplaces.
