I love you guys! Tattooing has become my world over the past decade and it's really because of you guys, your support, encouragement, many of you with me since the beginning of my Ink Journey.
Most Common Questions I get:

Q Is Albatross my actual name?
A It's my Ink name it was given to me when I started Tattooing

Q How did I get into it?
A My son wanted me to

Q Do I wish I'd started sooner?
A Nope, I was having fun doing other stuff and I believe things happen when the time is right.

Q What was I doing before Tattooing?
A I was a Production Design in the Film Industry till I burnt out. I went woopwoop to recover feel in love with a tin shack in a market in the Jungle and started doing Henna for fun. It evolved into trial tattoo designs then my son pushed me into 'Real Tattooing' so here I am. 😻
Here's a few random pics from way back when

AI GENERATED TATTOO DESIGNS: SUPER MISLEADING~ Here's what not to fall for:

1. AI designs for tattoos need to be adapted to work in living human skin working with human anatomy and form. Dont trust it.

2. Spatial parameters: Ai alters our perception of what will fit into an area which is contradictory to what will actually work given the same area as a successful Tattoo. Don't trust it.

3. Concept versus Actual design:
A good tattoo artist with an excellent reputation has built that reputation through many years of actual tattooing and designing tattoos that will work successfully in skin. That can't be replaced with Ai. Don't trust it.

THE THING WITH SKIN
Skin itself has a life of its own and that's not something that Ai understands. It can provide information, ideas, composition but it doesn't know how the skin actually behaves when it's being tattooed.
It can run calculations and it can predict outcomes but without actual hands on experience you can't trust it. I'm sure that will change but currently that's how things are in the Tattoo world when it comes to the limitations of Ai.

~ TRUST YOUR ARTIST ~ by all means bring your ideas and your references. Use AI to express what's in your mind but really isn't that a conversation you should have with an actual tattoo artist?
Isn't that part of the Tattoo experience, learning from an expert and having those conversations to deepen your understanding of tattoos.
~ I'm talking about 'Tattoo Collectors' people that care about what they put into their skin as living art.

~ SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR DISAPPOINTMENT ~
When you've spent time with AI creating a super cool tattoo design, you've got your heart set on it, you want that exactly, you take it to someone to just 'DO THAT' but instead they say it won't work your dream tattoo comes crashing and blame them thinking they're clearly not good enough or the artist for you... You've have been set up for a massive disappointment 'by Ai'

You thoughts?
