Our superstar graduate Katelyn has come a long way, so let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit her healthcare career journey 🥹🫶

🩺 In 2022, Katelyn’s healthcare journey began at just 16 years old, completing a Certificate II in Health Support Services with Mater Education while still in high school.
💪 She continued building her skills in 2023, earning a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance before taking the next step towards her nursing career.
🎓 Later that year, Katelyn started her Diploma of Nursing in Brisbane and graduated just 18 months later as a qualified enrolled nurse.
⏩ Today, she is completing her final placement for a Bachelor of Nursing at Australian Catholic University (ACU) while working as a nurse in Herston Private Hospital & Specialist Suites's Post Anaesthesia Care Unit.

Congratulations Katelyn! We're so proud of your incredible career so far.

🎉 Congratulations to our Year 11 Health Support Services students! 🎉

Our Year 11 students have worked incredibly hard to successfully complete their Certificate III in Health Support Services, finishing their studies this week.

Pimlico State High School is proud of its long-standing partnership with Mater Education, and we have once again been fortunate to have Michelle Carr as our facilitator in 2026. This intensive program combines both a Certificate II and Certificate III over three terms, with students attending one day each week while balancing their regular school subjects.

The dedication, commitment and resilience shown by these students has been outstanding. Managing vocational studies alongside their academic workload is no small achievement, and they should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished.
