This is the door most people find hardest.
What I hear most often is that people are nervous to walk in at all, and then nervous to go anywhere near the weights or machines once they have. Not because they don't want to, but because they don't want to hurt themselves, and they don't want to look silly standing at a machine they're not sure how to use or adjust.
That's far more common than you'd think, and it's nothing to be embarrassed about. A gym is a strange place if nobody has ever shown you around it. All that equipment, and everyone else looking like they know exactly what they're doing.
So we start with an assessment. There's nothing to prepare for, and nothing you need to already know. I get to know your history, your injuries, what you want to be able to do, and how your body is moving right now. Then I show you the specific machines and exercises that suit you, how to set them up, and why we've chosen them.
Walking through the door is the hardest part. The rest, I'm here to support you with.
If that's the bit stopping you, send me a message 💚
