Client Love 💕

These mamas might think they’re just sending me a little text message, but trust me when I say these messages mean SO much to me 🥹

I never take it lightly when a woman trusts me to be part of her journey, and hearing how she feels about that experience is something I treasure deeply.

Here are a few of my favourite texts from this month 🫶🏼✨

Sometimes, what we call “luck” has a story we never see…

Because behind my peaceful home birth was a season of listening, tending and trusting — deep devotion to an experience that mattered greatly to me.

Others saw where I arrived, but not everything that had brought me there.

They didn’t see the quiet rituals, the commitment to movement and nourishment, the affirmations and visualisation, the meditations, and the hours spent connecting with myself, my husband and our baby.

🌹🤍✨🧘‍♀️🌿🕯️🦋🕊️

Perhaps the most interesting part is that, at the time, I didn’t have the words for what I was doing.

I certainly didn’t have anyone around me who had prepared for birth in the way I was…

Just me.

And my inner knowing, which began as a whisper telling me that I would birth in water.

Then came the intuitive nudges that led me towards home birth, hypnobirthing, and the faithful practices I began weaving into my everyday life.

Looking back now, I see that I was preparing for the birth I was calling in, by becoming the woman who could meet it:
The woman who could show up fully.
Who could trust herself completely.
Who could surrender.
Who could make aligned decisions.
Who could meet intensity and the unknown with an open heart and a steady spirit.

And who, if birth had asked her to walk a different path than the one she had envisioned, could draw on the inner resources to meet that, too.

That is what embodied preparation means to me now, now that I have the words.

And it’s the kind of preparation I share with other women — not just teaching them about birth, but inviting them to take faithful steps towards it, day after day, until what they believe becomes something they live.

So, was I lucky?
Yes. I’m so very grateful for every little piece of luck that found its way into my story.

But there was also faith.
Trust.
Intuition.
Devotion.
Self-belief.
And a whole lot of listening to something within me that I couldn’t yet explain.

Sometimes the wisdom comes before the words.
Sometimes you simply know.
And the invitation is to listen 🌙

I still think about the euphoria of birth.

That intoxicating, almost otherworldly feeling of bringing my baby earthside and then suddenly finding myself on the other side of it all — flooded with hormones, love, relief, awe and this indescribable sense of being completely and utterly alive.

I have never felt anything quite like it. A high like no other. To experience something so intoxicating, so primal, so profoundly transformative.

What an extraordinary thing it is to be a woman 🌹🤍

Samantha 🌷

There are some women you meet who are so naturally compassionate and considerate of everyone around them, that it is beautiful to witness the moment they remember to turn some of that tenderness back towards themselves.

Throughout her pregnancy, I watched her be honest with her feelings, protective of her energy, and intentional about honouring exactly what she needed — what an absolute privilege it was to witness her step into the birth of her son from that place.

I don’t take it lightly that I was invited and trusted to walk beside her through such a beautiful season of self-love 💘

A little introduction for those who may be new here 🌹

I’m Jess — mama, Birth Doula, Hypnobirthing Practitioner and Childbirth Educator — and I’m so grateful to support women and families as they prepare for one of life’s most profound experiences.

My work weaves together birth education, emotional support and Hypnobirthing practices, creating space to prepare not only for birth itself, but for how you will meet the experience and the woman you will be within it 🤍

I currently offer private 1:1 and couples sessions both in-person and online, and personalised doula support throughout the Bundaberg region.

If you’re preparing to welcome your baby and feel called to approach birth with trust, instinct and devotion, I’d love to welcome you 🫶🏻

P.S. If you’re thinking, “Wait… wasn’t Jess brunette?” 😂 I was! Since becoming a mama, I’ve been making my way back to my natural lighter hair — still me, just in a different shade 🤣🤍

Father’s Day has me feeling a little emotional as I think back to the day our daughter came into the world 🥹

So much is spoken about the transformation of a woman as she becomes a mother, but I believe the birth of a child is a profound rite of passage for men, too!

While I was moving through one of the most vulnerable experiences of my life, he was there.

Steady. Protective. Loving.
⚓️ ⚔️ ❤️‍🔥

Happy Father's Day to the man who held me through the storm and continues to hold so much for our family, giving me the freedom to pour myself into raising our girl and pursue the birth work I feel so deeply called to.
