I just can’t get enough of our backyard and the beautiful pathways connecting us throughout the Barron. 🥾🌿
🌿 This morning, as we walked beneath the rainforest canopy, to Glacier Rock, the trees seemed to be connected through their sprawling root systems, intertwined beneath our feet, supporting one another and sharing the same earth.
🌿 A beautiful reflection of what these pathways create for us, connection to nature, connection to place and connection to one another.
🌿 The golden morning sun, rainforest paths, the sound of the flowing creek, birdsong and the wonderful people we meet along the way.
🌿 Today, we had a beautiful chance encounter with the extraordinarily passionate nature lover and photographer, Tony Kloss.
🌿 Tony photographs the tiny creatures most of us would unknowingly walk straight past. We stopped with him several times along the trail as he shared his incredible knowledge of our local fauna and showed us some of the remarkable insects hiding in plain sight.
🌿 Before long, we were all slowing down, peering into the grasses and looking more closely at the tiny worlds we would ordinarily have walked straight past.
🌿 Tony’s most recent photography exhibition was held at The Tanks in December, and he mentioned that he will be curating another exhibition. We cannot wait to see it.
🌿 What a highlight of our walk, encouraging us to slow down, look a little closer and open our eyes to the extraordinary little worlds all around us.
🌿 Barron Connected Pathways, connecting people, places, nature and community.
