Meet Bella & Millie

They’ve been coming to us since February 2022, and these two will always be pretty special to us. 💕

When Monica first found Pretty Little Pooches, she had recently moved from Canberra to Burleigh Heads. She found us through a local Facebook community page, back when we were still working from the home salon.

They were just 2 years old when they first came to us, and a little fun fact, they were both born on Christmas Day! 🎄

They’re honestly a dream to groom. They love having their baths, and when it’s time to do their nails, they even lift their paws up for us. And, of course, the cane basket has always been their favourite spot to sit!

Monica has since moved out of town, but she still makes the drive down to us every five weeks for their grooms.

Having clients who found us right back at the beginning and still choose to come back all these years later really does mean so much.

Thank you, Monica, for continuing to trust us with your gorgeous pups. We absolutely love having you all as part of the PLP family. 💕

Got a puppy coming in for their first groom? 🐶

Here are a few little tips on what you can do at home beforehand to help make their first salon experience that little bit easier.

Getting them used to having their paws, face and ears touched, introducing a brush and letting them experience different sounds can all help build their confidence.

But the biggest thing? Start them young.

Those first few appointments aren't about achieving the perfect haircut. They're about helping your puppy learn that grooming is safe, normal and nothing to be scared of.

🐾 A LITTLE LOVE FOR OUR AMAZING TEAM 💕

This week has certainly tested us at Pretty Little Pooches! 🤒

With sickness making its way through the salon, Caleche out last week, two of our beautiful bathers off sick yesterday, Tully hanging in by a thread and the rest of us masked up for safety , we’ve still managed to keep smiling behind our masks and making your pooches pretty! 🐶✨

I just want to give the biggest shout-out to my incredible girls. 💗

You go above and beyond, not only for our salon but for every single pooch and client who walks through our doors.

Even on the tough days, you show up for each other, support one another and give so much love to the dogs in our care.

I’m so grateful for each and every one of you.

Thank you, girls. I’m incredibly lucky to have you by my side. 🥹💕
