TO THE WOMEN HOLDING IT ALL TOGETHER… THIS ONE'S FOR YOU.
The early starts. The late finishes. The night shifts. The rotating rosters. The broken sleep.
The working mums. The shift workers. The sports mums spending their weekends on the sidelines, travelling to games, cheering the loudest and supporting their kids' dreams.
The partners, the carers, the daughters, the grandmothers, the women running households, building careers, managing businesses and making sure everyone else has what they need.
The school runs. The appointments. The groceries. The washing. The bills. The cooking. The endless organising and the mental load of remembering absolutely EVERYTHING.
And just when you think you've got a handle on it all…
HELLO, PERIMENOPAUSE AND MENOPAUSE!
The hot flushes that come out of nowhere. The night sweats. The brain fog. The mood changes. The disrupted sleep. The weight changes. The days when you barely recognise the body you're living in.
And somehow, we're still expected to keep everything moving.
Show up for work. Show up for our families. Show up for our partners. Show up for our kids.
And somewhere in between all of that, we're trying to find time to exercise, eat well, stay hydrated, look after our health and maybe, just maybe, have five minutes of peace.
Sound familiar?
Because I know this life. I've lived the demanding shifts, the exhaustion, the sleepless nights, the family commitments and the feeling of putting myself at the bottom of my own priority list.
I've experienced the changes in my body, the frustration, the fatigue and the struggle of trying to find my way back to feeling like ME again.
And here's what I've realised…
💜 We can be strong and still be exhausted.
💜 We can love our families and still need time away from everyone.
💜 We can be grateful for our lives and still find some days incredibly hard.
💜 We can support everyone else's dreams without giving up on our own.
💜 And we can be the person everyone relies on while still needing support ourselves.
We don't need to be superwomen.
We don't need to have everything figured out.
And we certainly don't need to feel guilty for wanting to prioritise ourselves.
WE MATTER TOO.
That's one of the biggest reasons I created Recharge HER.
Because I wanted to build something for women like us.
Real women. Real lives. Real responsibilities. Real challenges.
Women who are navigating demanding schedules, hormonal changes, family life, careers and everything in between.
Women who want to feel good in themselves, take care of their wellbeing and find a little balance in the middle of life's chaos.
Not another unrealistic expectation.
Not another person telling us we should be doing more.
Just a reminder that looking after ourselves deserves a place on that never-ending to-do list too.
Because taking your power back isn't about doing everything perfectly.
Sometimes it's about slowing down, listening to your body, setting boundaries and finally giving yourself some of the care you've spent years giving everyone else.
So here's to the shift workers, the sports mums, the working mums, the women navigating menopause, the carers, the businesswomen and every woman quietly carrying more than the world sees.
I SEE YOU. I HEAR YOU. AND I'M RIGHT THERE WITH YOU.
TAKE YOUR POWER BACK.
Ladies, let's get real. What's the biggest challenge you face when it comes to finding time for YOURSELF?
I'd genuinely love to hear your stories.
