A little movement can go a long way! đź’™

A big thank you to the Macarthur Sunrise Rotary Club for inviting HTC Rehab to share practical ways to stay active and support healthy ageing in our community.

Our Director, Tracy Chan, led members through simple exercises, including sit-to-stands and standing balance activities, highlighting how regular movement can help maintain strength, balance and mobility as we age.

It was lovely to connect with the club and share how small, consistent steps can support everyday movement and independence. Every person’s goals are different, and we believe the right support should reflect each individual’s needs. 💙

In Phase 2 of ankle rehabilitation, exercises may progress to focus on improving ankle movement, strength, control and balance, depending on the person's recovery and individual goals.

At HTC Rehab, we understand that everyone's rehabilitation journey is different. Our team provides person-centred allied health support, helping NDIS participants work towards their mobility and everyday activity goals at a pace that suits their abilities and needs.

HTC Rehab is pleased to have been invited to the SDA Open Home hosted by Australian Nursing & Community Services in Bradbury, Campbelltown. đź‘Ź

A big thank you to the ANCS team for the invitation and for creating an opportunity for support coordinators, NDIS participants, families, allied health professionals and community partners to connect and learn more about Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

It’s great to see purpose-built High Physical Support SDA accommodation being showcased, with an opportunity to learn more about the home, meet the complex care team and explore current vacancies.

At HTC Rehab, we value opportunities like these to connect with other providers, strengthen community partnerships and support collaborative care for people living with disability.

HTC Rehab is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist (Contractor) to join our mobile team serving Southwest & Western Sydney!

​Whether you're looking to build up a caseload alongside existing commitments or want complete flexibility over your working hours, we’d love to chat.

​What we offer:

​🚗 Mobile & Community-Based: Work with clients directly in their home, school, or community environments.

​🗓️ Complete Flexibility: Set your own schedule, caseload capacity, and service area.

​💛 FUN-ctional Therapy Approach: We prioritize meaningful, engaging, and client-centered goals.

​💬 Supportive Environment: Access peer support and collaborative multidisciplinary networking (Physio, EP, OT).

​About You:

​- AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist
​- Experience or strong interest in NDIS / Community Rehabilitation (Adults and/or Paediatrics)
​- Current ABN, Professional Indemnity/Public Liability Insurance, WWCC, and Police Check
​- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Every step forward matters. đź’™

After spending around a year bed-bound in hospital, this participant had experienced significant muscle loss and weakness. Our physiotherapy team is supporting him through gentle, early stroke rehabilitation, starting with simple movements such as sitting at the edge of the bed and stretching his affected hand and arm.

With the right support, encouragement and a positive environment, rehabilitation can become a meaningful part of the journey towards greater movement, participation and independence.

At HTC Rehab, we provide mobile allied health services across South Western Sydney, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Exercise Physiology, delivered in the comfort of a participant’s home or community.
