Tony headed up to Shepparton to pour concrete in the courtyard of one of our SDA homes!

While on site, Tony also had a chance to catch up and have a chat with some of the participants. It’s always lovely to connect with the people who call our homes their own and see how they’re doing! 💚

The concrete pour is another step towards creating a more practical, durable and enjoyable outdoor space for residents to make the most of.

We love being able to work on improvements around our homes while also taking the time to connect with our participants along the way. It’s all part of making sure our homes remain welcoming, comfortable and well maintained!

What is Appendix H?

If you’re exploring Specialist Disability Accommodation, you may have come across the term Appendix H. But what does it actually mean?

Appendix H is a NDIS pricing arrangement that can apply when an SDA participant shares their home with someone who isn’t eligible for SDA funding. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a partner, family member, financially dependent child or friend.

It can provide greater flexibility for participants who want to live with someone important to them while accessing suitable SDA. 💚

It’s important to remember that Appendix H doesn’t automatically mean that every person can move into every SDA property. The specific living arrangement and applicable funding need to be considered and confirmed for each individual circumstance.
