Melbourne-based, Online Globally. themenspirit.com

For the past two decades, I have dedicated my career to the area of healthcare, spanning in both Greece and Australia. Following my nursing education and service in the medical corps in Greece, fate led me to Australia in 2001, a place I proudly call home. Throughout my journey, my commitment to holistic care has been a guiding force in my professional adventures. I've had the privilege of working across various domains of healthcare, from acute settings to community care, serving as a registered nurse and care coordinator. Over the course of the last 13 years, I've had the honor of caring for some of the most vulnerable and complex individuals in our society. This invaluable experience has not only enriched my clinical expertise but has also fostered profound personal growth, shaping me into a more compassionate and empathetic healthcare provider. Like many, I've navigated my own share of hardships, including experiences of grief and loss, as well as struggles with my own emotional well-being. However, through introspection and self-discovery, I've emerged from these challenges with a newfound strength, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for life. This inner journey has reignited my sense of self-love, leaving me feeling stronger, healthier, and more determined than ever before. Now, I recognize that it's my time to give back—to share the love and gratitude that fills my heart with those in need. I am driven by a profound sense of purpose, eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Kosta Michalopoulos, RN, RCT

The messages we inherit can shape the men we become.

From family, culture, jokes, and silence, we learn what it means to be a man. Some of these messages help us grow, while others teach us to hide our emotions or carry everything alone.

Take a moment to reflect:
đź’ Which messages still serve you?
đź’ Which ones are you ready to change?

You don't have to carry every lesson you've inherited. Sometimes, growth begins with questioning what you've always been told.

Let's create space for honest conversations and a healthier understanding of what it means to be a man.

Anger. Fear. Sadness. Frustration. Joy.

Emotions are part of being human. Learning to notice and understand them can help us respond to life with more awareness instead of simply pushing everything down.

You don’t have to be ruled by your emotions. But you don’t have to run from them either.

Give yourself permission to pause, feel and understand what’s really going on.

I don’t usually get that excited, but this time I can’t really hold back.

I had the honour and privilege to meet this man and his work, Rory Kilmartin.
Seriously, this guy is the real deal. He reminds me of Tony Robbins if he was speaking about the attachment theory.
His work changes lives!!!

The Men Spirit is bringing him to Melbourne for a one-off opportunity to understand, once and for all, the human psyche and how this affects our relationships.

Rory is an official United Nations speaker, having spoken at the UN headquarters in NYC, and is recognised as the #1 Marriage Counsellor in Australia and the United Kingdom according to Trustpilot.

A one-day men’s workshop with Rory Kilmartin in Ashwood, Melbourne on 7 November 2026. Explore relationship patterns, communication and connection.

21/10/2026

Some of the patterns we carry were not ours to choose.

Anger. Silence. Avoidance. Shame. Addiction. Fear. The belief that we have to cope alone.
The past matters. Naming it matters. But responsibility begins when we start noticing how these patterns show up in our relationships, our parenting, our work, and our health.

This is not about blame. It is about asking an honest question:
What stops with me, today?

If this speaks to you, save it for a time you need the reminder.

There’s more than one way to be a man. ❤️

Strength isn’t just about being tough or keeping everything to yourself. It’s also about showing kindness, being honest, setting healthy boundaries, taking responsibility, and having the courage to ask for support when you need it.

You don’t have to fit one mould to be a good man. Real strength comes in many forms.

Sometimes we get so used to carrying things on our own that we forget we can let someone in.

A conversation. A listening ear. A space where you don’t have to pretend everything is fine.

Real connection starts when we allow ourselves to be seen as we are.

Sometimes the person who notices first isn’t a healthcare professional.

It might be a friend.
A colleague.
A family member.
A community worker.
A manager.

If you’ve had a conversation with a man about seeking support, you can help connect him with The Men Spirit through our referral pathway—with his consent.

Because meaningful support can start with simply noticing and reaching out.

A simple conversation can mean more than we realise.

You don’t always need the right words or a solution. Sometimes, being present and genuinely listening is enough.

Check in with the men around you. You never know what someone might be carrying quietly.

Start the conversation. A genuine check-in could be the first step toward connection.

Strength doesn’t always mean having everything under control.

Sometimes strength looks like honesty. Asking for support. Admitting you’re struggling. Making space for emotions instead of pushing them away.

There’s no single way to be a man. And there’s strength in finding a version of masculinity that feels honest to you.
