Healing After a Narcissistic Relationship: Setting Healthy Boundaries 🤍

Healing after a narcissistic relationship can be challenging, especially when you’ve spent so long questioning yourself, putting others first, or feeling guilty for saying no.

But here’s the truth: you are allowed to protect your peace, honour your needs, and choose yourself without feeling guilty.

🌿 Learn how to set and maintain healthy boundaries.
🌿 Recognise the patterns that keep you emotionally stuck.
🌿 Rebuild your self-trust and confidence.
🌿 Understand that saying “no” is an act of self-respect, not selfishness.

Your healing journey begins when you stop abandoning yourself to keep others happy. You deserve relationships built on respect, safety, and emotional wellbeing.

Sometimes, people struggle with vulnerability or closeness because distance has become a way of protecting themselves.

Understanding the pattern matters, but so do your needs, boundaries and emotional wellbeing.

You can have compassion for someone without ignoring how their behaviour affects you.

Antidepressants vs Medicinal Cannabis: Is One Better Than the Other? 🧠

Mental health treatment isn’t a simple case of “good” versus “bad” medication.

Antidepressants and medicinal cannabis can both play a role in symptom management, but they work differently, have different evidence behind them, and carry different risks.

So what does the evidence actually tell us?

💊 Antidepressants generally have a stronger evidence base for conditions such as depression and anxiety disorders.

🌿 Medicinal cannabis may have a role for some people and certain symptoms, particularly where sleep, pain or other factors are involved — but the evidence for treating mental health conditions directly is more limited and complex.

And importantly, “natural” doesn’t automatically mean safer.

THC can affect concentration, reaction time, memory, anxiety and driving ability, while antidepressants can also cause side effects and may take time to find the right medication and dose.

The most important question isn’t:

“Which treatment is better?”

It’s:

“Which treatment is appropriate for this person, their condition, their risks and their goals?”

I’ve explored the benefits, risks, effectiveness and real-world considerations in my latest article.
