Another great night out with the John Hood Care Trivia Group! 🧠🎉

Our team, Cup Runneth Over, finished in 2nd place tonight!

We were actually 1 point ahead, but because we'd won two weeks in a row, we had a 5-point penalty that knocked us back to 2nd! 😂

Still a fantastic effort from everyone, with plenty of laughs and some great teamwork along the way!

Proud of our trivia crew! 🏆

👻 John Hood Care – October Special Event! 👻

This month, we took our clients on a spooky ghost tour at Old Gippstown Heritage Park in Moe!

It was a night full of history, laughs and a few creepy moments!

One of our clients decided to use a ghost hunting app, and things got a little strange! 😱

First, the app picked up “Shadow” – which happens to be my nickname!

Then came “I know you” 👀

And just when I thought things couldn't get any creepier, I walked away and the app said “Don't leave!” 👻

Safe to say, that made the night even more interesting!

Everyone had a great time exploring, sharing a few scares and enjoying something a little different together.

Board Games Group at John Hood Care!

What a fantastic day of gaming, laughs and a little friendly competition!

Today, our clients and staff got together to play three very different games!

Zombicide: 2nd Edition – A zombie survival game where everyone has to work together to survive the apocalypse! Players search for weapons, fight off hordes of zombies and complete missions. It's all about teamwork, planning and helping each other survive!

The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls – A chaotic card game full of monsters, treasures, strange items and plenty of backstabbing! Players battle monsters, collect powerful items and compete to be the first to collect four souls. You never quite know what's going to happen next!

9 Lives – A quick, competitive card game where players try to avoid going over nine while using special cards to catch each other out. A fun way to finish off with some friendly rivalry!

Our Board Games Group isn't just about playing games. It's about building friendships, developing confidence, practising teamwork and enjoying time with people who share similar interests.

🎲 Thursday D&D Social Club at John Hood Care! 🐉

Another fantastic Thursday with our D&D Social Club!

The dice were rolling, the creativity was flowing, and there were plenty of laughs around the table!

What makes this group so special is watching everyone bring their own personalities, ideas and creativity into the story.

D&D is more than just a game. It's a great way for our participants to build friendships, develop confidence, practise teamwork and make their own choices while having fun.

A big shoutout to our Dungeon Master, Hayden, who puts so much time and effort into creating a world where everyone gets to be part of the story!

At John Hood Care, we believe support should be built around what people genuinely enjoy.

Friday is looking like a big day at John Hood Care!

We've got two exciting activities lined up, with something for everyone!

🎲 FRIDAY – BOARD GAMES GROUP

Join us for a fun, relaxed day of board games, friendly competition and plenty of laughs!

It's a great opportunity for participants to make new friends, build confidence, practise social skills and enjoy some friendly competition in a welcoming environment.

👻 FRIDAY NIGHT – GHOST HUNT!

When the sun goes down, things are getting spooky!

We're heading out for a ghost hunt, where participants can explore something different, share a few scares, have some laughs and make memories together.

Will we find something paranormal, or will our imaginations get the better of us? There's only one way to find out!

⏰ Starting at 7:30pm

At John Hood Care, we're all about creating opportunities for participants to enjoy their interests, connect with others and experience something new.

From rolling dice during the day to hunting ghosts at night, Friday has it all!

Trivia night was a close one, but we came out on top! 🏆

Took our clients out for a great night of trivia, working together as a team under the name Pass The Answers. It was a tight competition right to the end, and everyone played their part in bringing home the win!

Another great night of teamwork, laughs and fun with John Hood Care.

Another great movie outing with John Hood Care!

Took a client to see Clayface at the movies, and they absolutely loved it! Always great getting out, enjoying a good movie, and making the most of our community experiences.

Movie day with John Hood Care!

We took a trip to the movies to watch Street Fighter, and let's just say the reviews were mixed! Some loved it, while others weren't impressed.

That's all part of the fun of trying something new together. Everyone has their own tastes, and it's always good to get out, enjoy new experiences and share a few laughs along the way.

Trivia Night with John Hood Care!

What a fantastic night at trivia! Our team, Dazed and Confused, put our heads together, shared our knowledge and worked hard as a team to bring home the win!

It was great seeing everyone get involved, support each other and contribute to the team. Everyone played their part, and together we got the result!

A big congratulations to Team Dazed and Confused on the win! A great night of teamwork, laughs and community participation.
