🔬 Functional testing is genuinely one of my favourite things to talk about.

Because it’s the difference between being told you’re fine — and actually finding out why you’re not.

Is it the answer to everything? Nope. But it gives you something most people have never had — a real picture of what’s actually going on inside your body.

That’s not a knock on conventional medicine. It’s just the truth about what functional testing can see that standard bloods can’t.

The rhythm of your stress response. The hormone that’s actually running your metabolism. The minerals your body has quietly burned through. The gut that’s been trying to tell you something for years.

It’s all measurable. And when something is measurable — it’s workable. And it’s all available to you too!

Mould exposure doesn’t always look like mould exposure. One clue led us there.

You might not have a blocked nose, visible congestion or an obvious respiratory problem.

You may experience the following!

→ unexplained fatigue or feeling constantly “run down”
→ brain fog, poor concentration or headaches
→ unusual sensitivity to smells or chemicals
→ persistent sinus or respiratory irritation
→ post-nasal drip or frequent throat clearing
→ disrupted sleep
→ unexplained skin irritation or itching
→ digestive changes that seem to have no obvious cause
→ feeling worse in one particular environment, and better when you leave it
→ getting sick frequently or struggling to bounce back

But!

These symptoms are not specific to mould. They can have many possible causes, which is exactly why simply managing the symptom may not tell you what is actually driving it.

Could you be my next case? The 30-second application is in my bio.

Pink October raises awareness. Understanding your hormones and metabolic health is the next step. 🎀

Screening finds what’s already there. Your hormones, insulin, HbA1c and vitamin D show you what’s shaping your terrain. You need both.

Breast cancer is close to my heart, so this October I’m waiving my initial consult fee to help you access functional testing for your hormone and metabolic markers.

🚻 Device for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor stimulation? I had to try it myself.

And yes, you can hear exactly how it went in the video when the intensity went up. 😂

I only had it at 50% intensity, and I felt those contractions very clearly. A deep, involuntary squeeze you can’t fake. Will I try 100%? Maybe if and when leaks come knocking. 😅 For now, 50% was plenty.

Why I wanted to try it:

🔹 Pelvic floor exercises work, but many of us can’t tell whether we’re activating the right muscles, or we simply don’t do them consistently.

🔹 EMSELLA uses HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic) energy to stimulate deep pelvic floor muscle contractions without you having to do anything. Per BTL, one 28-minute session delivers over 11,000 contractions, far more than you could do voluntarily.

🔹 The aim is to help retrain the muscles that support continence and rebuild neuromuscular control. 6 sessions are needed!

Fully clothed. Seated. No downtime. And a reaction I clearly didn’t see coming. 😂

If you’re crossing your legs before you sneeze, planning life around bathrooms, and are based in Perth - I’m happy to connect you with where I tried it. Send us a message. 📩

Chronic inflammation often hides behind “everything looks normal” while the system keeps treating and masking symptoms instead of asking why they’re there.

That’s the gap this carousel is about — the years between feeling off and getting a name for it. Years where the trajectory could still be changed.

This is exactly why FIHA exists. Not to wait for the diagnosis. To find the fire before it becomes one.

If health optimisation and advanced functional lab testing has been on your radar, join our Founding Client Cohort today — telehealth consults, at-home functional lab testing, root-cause investigation, founding pricing.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and the sign we’re highlighting today isn’t the one you’d expect.

If you’ve followed me a while, you’ll know I’m currently in Europe — my father was placed in hospice care here, with terminal prostate cancer. He also lost his hair rapidly, starting in his 30s.

Most men associate prostate risk with what’s happening “down there.” Ayurveda’s been looking at the mirror instead — and modern research is starting to agree.

Full breakdown in the carousel: the mind-body link, the research, and the food swaps that matter.

You were told everything looked fine.

But you’re exhausted. You’re in pain. You’re not yourself.

And nobody could tell you why.

This is the gap between standard testing and what your body is actually doing — and it’s where most people fall through.

If you recognised yourself in any of these slides — your body has been trying to tell you something.

Tired all the time isn’t just “life at this stage.”

It’s not a personality trait. It’s not something you fix with more coffee. It’s not something to just push through.

It’s a message from your body — and messages have a source.

Broken cortisol rhythm. A thyroid panel that only tells half the story. A gut that’s quietly keeping your immune system switched on. Foods triggering delayed reactions you’d never connect to fatigue. Mineral levels nobody thinks to check.

None of it shows up on a standard blood test. All of it is measurable when you know what to look for.

For a short time, FIHA accepts a limited number of Founding Clients — everything done from home, Australia-wide.

Some of you will remember my post about prostate cancer — 1 in 8 men. My father is one of them, and he’s now being moved to hospice care. So I’ve had to jump on a flight to Europe to be with him while I still can.

FIHA has always been built on honesty — about root causes, about what healing actually takes, and about being human while doing this work. So I won’t pretend this is business as usual.

And going through this again has brought it all back — every way it was missed the first time. Inflammation dismissed. Symptoms masked instead of investigated. Told, more than once, that it had nothing to do with his diagnosis. It was simply genetic and ‘bad luck’. When I raised the connection between his mouth and his cancer — the periodontal disease, the mouth full of silver amalgams he’d had for years — I was completely ignored. It had nothing to do with ‘their work’. And they’re never going to see the connections.

This is exactly why I do this work. Root causes don’t get chased — they get managed, medicated, and missed. By the time something is “found,” the damage is already done.

If you’re already a client, nothing changes on your end — I’ll still be on the other side of the screen working through your labs, just from a different time zone.

If you’ve been sitting on a founding client application, it’s still open, and I’d love to have you.

I’ll ask for a little patience with replies over the next few weeks while I navigate this.

Appreciate you all, more than you know. 🤍
