Most clinic owners only find out what their service arrangement is worth on the day a device goes down, which is the worst possible day to learn it.

Good service response comes down to a few questions you can ask any provider before you need them: how quickly an engineer will be in touch after you call, whether parts are held locally or shipped from overseas, whether a loan device is available while yours is out of action, and whether every visit is documented so you have a full maintenance history.

Swipe through for what good looks like on each, and save this for the next time you're reviewing a service agreement.

When a new device arrives, most of the planning has usually gone into choosing it, and far less into the first month of actually using it, which is where we see clinics lose momentum.

The fix is pretty simple. Make sure more than one person on your team is trained, give them practice time before paying clients go through, agree on how you'll talk about the treatment so everyone explains it the same way, and set a first-month target your team can hit, because a team that feels behind by week two tends to stop recommending the treatment altogether.

Swipe through for the checklist, and save it for the next time a new device is on its way.

Meet the clinic owners behind The Neogen Experience. Lisa runs The Derm Loft in Melbourne and Jai runs Future Face Clinics in Brisbane, and both added Neogen to an injectable-led treatment menu. On Tuesday 10 November at 7pm AEDT, they'll share how that has gone, including how they introduced it to their existing patients, where it sits alongside their injectable work, and the results they're seeing.

If you're weighing up a resurfacing device for a nurse-led clinic, this is the conversation to hear first. Registration is free through the link in our bio, or at [registration link] on LinkedIn.

Late October is when most clinics start thinking about next year, and the treatment menu is where a little planning now pays off most in the first quarter.

Before you lock in 2027, it's worth looking back at three things from this year: which treatments clients asked for that you couldn't offer, which treatments filled your rooms and which only filled your menu, and where your quietest days sat across the week. Those three answers usually tell you what to add, what to retire, and where a new treatment would earn its place.

Swipe through for a simple planning checklist, and save it for the conversation with your team before the end-of-year rush.

How often does a client ask for a treatment you can't offer yet? When it's laser hair removal, RF microneedling, skin rejuvenation, or pigmentation treatment, every "no" is a client who books that treatment somewhere else.

You can add any of them to your treatment menu without a large upfront payment. Subscribe to a device for a fixed weekly fee that includes training with our clinical educators and servicing from our engineers, and you can be treating clients within weeks rather than months.

When you're weighing up a new device, it's easy to compare the device itself and overlook everything that comes with it, which is usually what decides how well it works in your clinic.

Every Laseraid plan includes clinical training with educators who've worked in the treatment room, a dedicated account manager who knows your clinic, and access to the Laseraid online store. On Subscribe and Subscribe-to-Own, you also get servicing and repairs from Australia's largest manufacturer-trained service team, with 48-hour engineer dispatch, and on Own you can add the same coverage through a service contract.

We've spent twenty years supporting clinics across Australia and New Zealand, so if you'd like to talk through which plan fits yours, book a call through the link in bio →

Ask most clinic owners where their margin comes from and they'll point to their prices, but price is usually the smallest lever in the room.

Margin tends to come from four places: clients who book a course rather than a single session, treatment rooms that stay busy across the week rather than only on Saturdays, homecare that goes out the door with the client, and treatments your team can deliver confidently without running over time.

Swipe through for where each one shows up in your numbers, and save this for your next quarterly review.

Lisa Barrera and Jai Mansfield are both registered nurses who researched the aesthetic device market thoroughly before choosing Neogen for their own clinics. On Tuesday 10 November at 7pm AEDT, they'll talk through what led them to that decision, how they brought Neogen into their nurse-led injectable clinics, and how they've marketed it to their patients. They'll also walk through real case studies and share the practical advice they wish they'd had when they started.

The webinar is free, and you can register through the link in our bio. It starts at 6pm in Brisbane and 9pm in New Zealand.

Melasma, redness, and rosacea are the concerns many clinics still refer out, and every referral is a client who books their course somewhere else. Sylfirm X treats all three from one device, alongside acne scarring, pores, and skin laxity, and it's the device behind our SILK and Clear Skincare partnerships.

What does a week without your device actually cost your clinic? The bookings you have to move are the easiest cost to count, and they're usually the smallest.

Take a device running twelve treatments a week at $400 each. Two weeks out of action is $9,600 in treatments that don't happen, while your therapist stays on the roster, the room still carries its rent, and some of the clients you reschedule won't come back at all.

That's why Laseraid runs Australia's largest manufacturer-trained service team, with 48-hour dispatch on subscription plans, so the gap between the problem and the fix stays as short as we can make it.

Want to know what continuity would cost for your clinic? DM us the make, model, and rough age of your device, and we'll come back with a service quote or tell you straight away if it's one we can't look after →
