One of my favorite parts of having a private midwife and continuity of care, is choice. There’s always multiple options, there’s no “standard” care, it’s all unique to you, your baby and this pregnancy. There’s always space for discussion, I’ve never had an appointment less than an hour (and very often more). All my questions are answered, I’m provided research and I feel confident and comfortable to discuss my own research or relate things to my own experience. My loved ones can attend my appointments, ask questions and participate (even people close to me who won’t be present for birth).

For me, this is what home birth means. ⭐️
