It’s time to introduce myself!

I’m Lopsi, the person behind IGNITE Reiki Retreat. 💜 As we head towards our fifth IGNITE in 2027, I thought you might want to see the person behind all these posts—and maybe some of what goes on behind the scenes, too.

So… hi! 😊

If you’ve been to IGNITE before, what’s one thing you remember most?

And if you haven’t been yet, what would you want to know about coming to a Reiki retreat? 👇

❄️ IGNITE 2027 UPDATE: YES, THERE’S AIR CONDITIONING! ❄️

Since Texas is currently reminding us exactly why this update matters...🔥

Our new home at Cleburne State Park comes with something IGNITE has never had before:
AIR CONDITIONING! 🙌❄️

We’ll still have the nature, trees, lake, trails, outdoor activities, and plenty of time outside that make a retreat feel like a retreat.

But now we also have air-conditioned indoor spaces.

Some workshops and activities may take place indoors, and when you’re ready for a break from the Texas heat, there will be somewhere cool to gather, learn, connect, or simply recharge.

And when it’s finally time to call it a night?
You get to sleep in an air-conditioned dorm. 🛏️❄️

Same nature. Same community. Same IGNITE magic.

Just a whole lot more comfortable.

💬 Now for the important question: What temperature do YOU want the room when you sleep?
🔥 74°+ — I am a lizard.
😌 70–73° — perfectly reasonable.
❄️ 66–69° — make it COLD.
🥶 65° or below — I would like to sleep in a refrigerator, please.

🛏️✨ IGNITE 2027 UPDATE: REAL BEDS! ✨🛏️

We heard two VERY different reactions to our new location announcement:
“Wait… are we still sleeping in tents?” 😳and “Wait… we’re NOT camping?” 😭

Good news: you have options!
For the first time, your IGNITE registration includes a REAL bed indoors! 🙌

Our new home at Cleburne State Park has bunk-style dormitories, so you can leave the tent and air mattress at home if you'd like. These aren't fancy hotel rooms—they're simple shared bunk rooms—but after a full day of Reiki, workshops, connection, nature, and fun, having an actual mattress to crawl into sounds pretty wonderful. 💜

🛏️ A bed and twin-size mattress are provided.
🧺 Bring your own twin-size bedding and pillow.

But what if you LOVE camping? ⛺
You don't have to give it up! Cleburne State Park has campsites available separately through the park. If you'd rather sleep under the stars, you're welcome to reserve your own campsite with the park instead of sleeping in the dorm.

Your IGNITE registration still covers the retreat itself and a bed, but you may choose to make a separate camping reservation!

💬 So which are you choosing?
🛏️ TEAM BED — I've done my time on the air mattress. 😂
⛺ TEAM TENT — You can pry my campsite from my cold, outdoorsy hands.
Tell us in the comments! 👇

✨ IGNITE is growing, and we have some exciting updates to share! ✨
If you've joined us before, you already know what makes IGNITE special: the connection, learning, laughter, healing, and incredible people who come together for this weekend. 💜
That isn't changing, but a few other things are. 😉
We listened. We learned. And for 2027, we made some BIG changes that we think are going to make your IGNITE experience even better!
Over the next several posts, we're going to share what's new!
Some changes are practical.
Some will make the weekend a whole lot more comfortable.
And at least one may make those of you who've attended in the past say “FINALLY!” 😂
Same community. Same heart. Same IGNITE magic. ✨
A whole new level of comfort.

18/05/2026

The retreat starts this week, and we are so excited to welcome you to Sacred Feminine Rising and share this healing, transformative weekend together.

The current forecast is calling for warm temperatures with rain and scattered thunderstorms throughout the retreat days. Good planning will help us stay comfortable so we can focus on rest, connection, and ceremony.

What to Bring:

Boots or close toed shoes
It may be warm and muddy in places, and there are mesquite thorns on the land, so sturdy shoes or boots will help protect your feet and keep you more comfortable.

Critter awareness
This is beautiful Texas land, and we do share it with a few critters. Fire ants and scorpions are the most common visitors, so watch where you place your hands and feet and consider closed toed shoes when walking the property. Occasionally you may see a snake, especially if you are exploring less inhabited parts of the land or going off the main paths. Staying aware and giving wildlife space is usually all that is needed.

Rain layer (jacket or poncho)
With rain and scattered thunderstorms in the forecast, a lightweight rain jacket or poncho will help you stay dry when moving between spaces.

Tarps
A tarp under your tent can help keep moisture from seeping in from the ground. Bringing an extra tarp to go over your tent with stakes and ropes can be a game changer to help you stay dry, especially if you have a pop up. This is in addition to using your rain fly.

Extra socks and a change of clothes
Pack at least one full extra outfit and extra socks so you have something dry to change into if you get caught in a downpour.

Sunscreen
Even with clouds and rain, the Texas sun can be strong. Protect your beautiful skin so you can glow safely all weekend.

Bug spray
Warm, rainy weather can bring more mosquitoes and other little biters. Bring bug spray to help keep bites to a minimum.

Plastic bags or dry bags
A few trash bags or reusable dry bags are perfect for keeping clothes and bedding dry and for separating anything that does get wet. Come ready for a little mud, a little rain, and a whole lot of healing, connection, and Sacred Feminine Rising .
