🌿☀️ We had a lovely day out enjoying the beautiful outdoors! 💚

We started our day at Lakeside Park in Kirwan, near the cricket club, before heading over to the beautiful Palmetum Botanical Gardens for a peaceful stroll and to enjoy the natural surroundings. 🌳🌺

We enjoyed a lovely walk through the gardens, taking in the sunshine and admiring the gorgeous sunflowers. 🌻☀️

💙 What a wonderful day at Step UP! Family Day! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support such a fantastic event supporting people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities here in Townsville. 💙

The Step UP! Family Day was a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together, meet new people, make connections and enjoy a day filled with fun, inclusion and community spirit. 🥰

We were so grateful to be part of such a special day and loved seeing so many families and community members come together to show their support.

Thank you to the organisers, stallholders, families and everyone who helped 💙

Our amazing support workers will be putting on their face painting hats tomorrow! 💜

STEP UP! FOR DOWN SYNDROME & INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Join us on Sunday, 11 October 2026, from 9:00am–12:00pm at Riverway for a fantastic all-ages, all-abilities family fun day! 🎉

There’ll be plenty happening throughout the morning, including:
🎨 Entertainment & activities
🛍️ Stalls
🚶‍♀️ A walk through the park to raise awareness
🎈 Family-friendly fun for everyone

And we’re excited to be there! 💙
Life Helpers will be providing FREE face painting on the day, so come along and say hello to our team! 🎨✨

This event is a wonderful opportunity to Step UP! for Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities while celebrating inclusion, community and connection.

Funds raised will stay in the region to provide support, services and information to empower people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities and their families.
