I was reminded today of the incredible power of talk therapy.
It might sound strange because that's literally what I do, I have to believe in it or I won't do a good job of it. And I do believe in it, but I was reminded how deeply I believe in it.
I love so many different modalities, all for different reasons, but I really do love, and believe we undervalue, the benefits of talking things out.
Counselling provides a safe space and the opportunity to unload some of the heavy baggage we carry around. It allows us to sift through what we need to let go of and establish goals to move forward and the strategies to get us there. To understand and gain clarity around our emotions, to process trauma, to identify our values, live in alignment with our values, and to feel confident in navigating our way through life with authenticity, knowing that only you know what is best for you, and that you have the innate wisdom you need to heal.
Counselling has always had my heart (almost literally, I have an old school project that I did when I was 8 where I said I wanted to be a counsellor and an author 😆).

All of my offerings are created with deep consideration of what I once needed.
A new mum, with a high needs baby that wouldn't take a bottle or a dummy, I wasn't able to take that time away for myself.
Nearly 4 years on and I still haven't spent an entire night away from my kids. And that's okay.
I've learned how to breathe underwater.
There's been a lot of conversation around the lack of support for mums in their world; how this world isn't designed for mothers. I wholeheartedly agree, but I also believe this world isn't designed for children.
If we had spaces accessible for children, that would be supportive of mums. Some mums don't have a village, others make the choice to bring their babes with them.
Whether that's out for coffee, to the gym or to therapy, it's important to me that these spaces, all spaces, can be accessed by mums with babes in tow.
Mama Nature is a space supportive of your unique needs. If you have a babe in arms, on the b**b, or a lack of village, you and babe are always welcome here. Even if the goal is to outsource your supports solo, you don't need to deny yourself until that time comes. You're worth more than that, and it's never a bad thing for your babe to witness you doing the thing for yourself 💖

Why "reconnect with your inner nature (+ magic)" ?
Because it's within. You were born with innate wisdom, and have it inside you now. It's a matter of having lost access to it, either from conditioning or trauma; disconnection.
When I work with my clients, addressing the disconnect is what I do.
I've said it before - let's bridge the gap.
As children, we knew what we wanted. We expressed ourselves without fear of judgement.
We were born the people we were meant to be.
And then we were shaped into people the rest of the world wanted us to be.
My job as a Counsellor is to hold up a metaphorical mirror, and support you as you start looking at what you have been looking away from; where you're disconnected.
So, yes, I support you as you reconnect, but to do that, together, we identify the disconnect.
I'm incredibly passionate about the disconnect because I've been there myself. This smiling, overwhelmed-with-love-and-adoration, new mum was disconnected as f**k. Still processing a traumatic birth, in a body she didn't recognise, ni***es still feeling like they were gonna fall off and sleeping for 30 mins at a time if I was lucky.
Identifying the disconnect was the only way to reconnect, and it's made me a better mum and better human than I ever could have imagined.
Reconnecting with myself has allowed me to connect with others in a way I didn't realise I couldn't before.

I had the honour of finishing up 2021 with a private Circle for a family of women who hadn't been together in over 3 years. I was a little unsure about how festive I should make it, but I (not doing things by halves) went all in, feeling it was necessary to honour the purpose of their gathering.
What a truly special afternoon it was being back .beehive.society & I even had my wonderful friend .pettifer capture the magic AND assist in some hands on for the restorative opening of our session. Talk about magic ✨

Gift vouchers
If you know me personally, you will know that I have a very deep passion for the environment and sustainability. We use as many reusable products as possible as a family including cloth nappies, shampoo and conditioner bars, low- and no-tox products, and we try to shop as mindfully as possible.
Christmas time is an especially wasteful time of year. It's easy to get caught up in the spirit of giving and we often buy gifts just for the sake of giving. While this is a thoughtful gesture, it's not often a mindful gesture - will the receiver enjoy this gift? Or will it end up in the bin in the next couple of weeks? And don't even get me started on wrapping paper [ever, but especially] at this time of year 😫

1:1 Yoga Massage
Yesssss, that's right! One. On. One. One whole hour of deeply restorative shapes, massage & meditation. This has been on my heart for many, many months.
Who doesn't love a full body massage at their beauty salon? I've always described Restorative Yoga Massage as "a full body massage for the soul". With the mindful shapes and meditative energy, the love and care that goes into the massage is the icing on the cake ✨
I would LOVE to attend a 1:1 in this capacity but I haven't seen it offered, and knew I couldn't be the only one craving such a divine experience. Just in time for a busy festive season, this is a beautiful way to take a grounding breath & create some needed space for yourself. I have finally settled on a title for what it is that I provide. Neither counsellor nor coach felt fitting, yet it's almost a combination of the two that I provide - with some magical twists.
So what is it that you do?
Using an intuitive & holistic approach (mental, emotional, physical and spiritual), focusing on the whole of you and the interconnection of your individual mind-body-spirit, we have the opportunity to deep dive and become self-aware; connect to your inner child and Self, begin & continue healing trauma bonds, establish boundaries, set intentions & goals, understand emotions & anxieties, & so much more depending on your personal needs.

As we move towards Summer and the Festive season (thanks for the reminder ) and everything that comes with it - more socialising, more to-do, more spending.. This is your friendly reminder to take regular breaks to breathe and check in with yourself and reassess your boundaries. They change every day - some days I'm up for all the socialising and general "doing". And other days, I need to clear my calendar, cancel all plans and lay low with the kids and try to nap while they do (if I'm lucky enough for them both to sleep at the same time 😅).
In reassessing my own needs and to-dos this week, I have decided I am due to check out of socials for a couple of weeks. I have the honour of being a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding and I have two weeks jam packed with appointments and celebrations. Being such a joyous occasion (doubly for me with my brother marrying my high school bestie 😍) I really want to take this time to be present with my family and lean into all the excitement and love the next few weeks will bring.

Beltane blessings 🌱
I was deep in a pity party earlier today. I woke up grumpy after being up half the night with a fussy baby. And of course the toddler decides today's the day he needs to start pushing certain boundaries.
Feeling out of control in the chaos of kids (and life), I whipped out the journal to get it all out of my body and mind. I realised there is one thing I can control, which is how I perceive it, so I wrote out my gratitude list:
"I am grateful to be woken all night because it means I have a healthy baby who knows she can depend on me.
I am grateful to have a toddler I get cranky at because it means he feels safe enough to explore boundaries with me.
I am grateful for my husband, mum & friends that love and support me, even when I get a little caught up in the crazy that is life."
Life will always be chaotic and unpredictable in its ebbs and flows, but we can choose how we respond. What are you grateful for today? 🌸
It's been a whole year since I taught my first yoga class!
It was meant to be outside in the sun in our beautiful, big backyard, but when the weather didn't pull through we decided to move it into the garage instead of postponing.
I'd put this class off for as long as I possibly could, I was absolutely terrified of getting up in front of people to speak, let alone lead them through a class - what if they didn't like my sequence? Or my playlist? Who am I to be up there teaching yoga? I have no idea what I'm doing! I finally committed, the day came and I jazzed it all up with goodie bags and nibbles (they might not remember how awful my class is if we finish up with a positive).
Of course they did appreciate the extra effort I went to with the goodie bags and nibbles but they were unnecessary. They loved the class! They loved my bangin' playlist and the sequence was available to everyone (from first timers to experienced yogis) because it turns out, I actually did know what I was doing.
I am really excited to getting back on the mat, teaching yoga & facilitating circles (and so many more ideas to bring to life 🤩). I'm still working out the details of coming back and what that will look like, but when I know, so will you! Stay tuned. X
Touching on the post I shared in my stories yesterday about feeling shame and guilt around rest after a huge amount of people replied saying they resonated.
As difficult as it can be to switch off from work and truly allow ourselves to rest, it's actually harder to do one properly without the benefits of the other. If we can find harmony between work and rest, we'll find we're more productive at work from allowing ourselves to rest, and more able to rest after being productive.
This doesn't mean you have to sit on the couch and binge Netflix one day a week (but also feel free to if that's your jam - it's definitely mine some days). Find some sort of activity that leaves you feeling restored. Something that inspires you to work and something that makes you look forward to your needed and deserved rest again. Lately for me, that has been getting out of the house for a walk in the fresh air with the kids. Or Pilates now they're open again 😍
I'm not saying it's easy to do and it might not happen daily, but this is your reminder to create some time this week just for you to do something that leaves you feeling refreshed and excited. Please share with us & pop your restful ideas below👇🏽

Today I am ok.
I haven't been ok every day the last couple of weeks. I've been practising lots of mindfulness and enjoying lots of nature, sunshine and fresh air which has been helping. (I share more of my mindfulness and wellness practises in my newsletter, let me know if you want in!)

Last Sunday I held what will be my last Women's Circle before taking maternity leave. Leading up to the day, it became clear that our theme needed to be around Winter ❄️
As we have technically just entered Winter and we have a new moon tonight, knowing that Winter can be a time of challenge for some, I felt that we couldn't pass up the opportunity to turn inwards, and consider how we can create opportunities for growth through the challenges we face in the darkness and depth of winter.
As I get closer to birth and entering the fourth trimester, I will be in my own inner Winter, so there was definitely a personal feel for it as well.
It was a deep experience to share in everyone's love for and fears of Winter, with many emotions being brought to the surface. For me, it is with much gratitude that I finish up my third trimester/inner Autumn and prepare for my inner Winter with an open mind and different perspectives thanks to everyone's enriching contributions.

On Saturday afternoon we had the pleasure of attending .pettifer 's SoulSounds Circle held in beautiful nature. Gael had asked if we could use the occasion to celebrate the stage of life's cycle I am currently in, journeying once again into motherhood, to create loving and positive vibes for a safe and "easy" birth.
Gael provided the space for us to connect to one another, to nature through offerings of abundance, and through nature, connect deeply to ourselves.
One of our friends is journeying into motherhood again, to which we took full advantage of her presence as well. Kate and I both had our nervous systems soothed as we enjoyed sound healing and massage with the use of bowls and chimes placed on and around us.
My personal experience was deeply nurturing as the vibrations entered through my body. I felt warmth spreading from each bowl as I lay on the (blanketed and cushioned) cold, winter earth. I felt loved, safe, held and connected.
To be on the giving side when Kate had her turn was just as nurturing for me. I held and massaged her hand to keep her feeling connected and grounded, which had the same effect on me in the moment.
When Gael offers her next Circle (I hope for your sakes it's soon!), I fully encourage you to take the time for yourself, wherever you are in your life's cycle, to celebrate yourself, other women and the amazing cycles of life we each have the honour of experiencing.

I couldn't have imagined a more perfect way to finish up before taking maternity leave, ready to welcome the next addition to our family. This weekend has been so deeply nurturing, connective and healing, and I've been lucky enough to have been a participant in one Circle and hold the space for another. Being able to both give and receive in these soulful occasions is truly a blessing.
Thank you so much to you all for your love, support and contribution to what has been easily one of the best chapters of my life. I am so very grateful for you all 🧡

Today I am feeling extremely grateful to have my mum here to celebrate, and to be a mum myself.
This day can be such a challenge for many people in many different ways. However you spent your day, I hope it involved love, connection and celebration in whatever way that looks for you.
To the huge variety of mums out there, Happy Mother's Day to you all ♥️
There are times in life that you make decisions, and other times when you receive decisions that are made for you. In this case, the decision has been made for me that I am to finish up teaching Yoga a little earlier than I had hoped.
Unfortunately I have injured my ankle and have been recommended to call it now, as even if it heals soon, the hormonal relaxants flooding my body at the moment increase my risk of further injury.
So. That is that. I will be going ahead with all events booked (May 7th, May 22nd and June 6) as they won't require much yoga movement on my end and I feel confident I can hold these events safely. But our weekly Saturday morning Flow class will be put on hold until I can make my return after Baby Wells makes their way into the world.
Clarity Sessions are still available by appointment on Wednesdays until I finish up on the 2nd of June. If you're ready to make some time for yourself, to gain clarity in your life and work on your boundaries, goal setting, understanding emotions and your overall mental wellness, now is the time to book. We have 6 weeks left, let's make the most of them!
