We are super proud and so grateful to share that once again, Zen Wellness Centre has been selected as a DOUBLE FINALIST in both the Allied Health AND Health Improvement Services categories for the 2026 Australian Professionals Small Business Champion Awards!

This recognition is for our clinics in Newcastle and Muswellbrook, with something very exciting coming up for Maitland.

Only the universe knows the testing, growth and learning behind the scenes. I am ready to take our whole team to the next level of integrative wellness. We are so Hunter-proud to be building this for our wonderful, supportive community. Woohoo!

This journey has supported my own wellbeing too and reminds me — balance is key. Logic alone isn't complete and belief alone needs grounded evidence. We work in that gap between.🌌🌎☯️

Thank you for seeing our passion for what we create. It takes time, hard work, resilience and great challenge to help clients understand how important health is — and it starts with us living it ourselves.

That's why I created this not just as a treatment or service, but as a supportive approach to care that aims to support your general health and wellbeing and work alongside your other healthcare providers. We don't just make a living, we care from the heart, not just with our hands.

I am deeply grateful for this recognition as a finalist, judged by an independent panel. It means everything and makes every minute spent improving Zen worth it.

We are here to learn and grow together. When we become more balanced, we support each other's wellbeing.

A note from Pookie, Clinic Manager

As both a practitioner and someone who has lived with migraine for over two years, I understand how overwhelming those days can feel. For many women in perimenopause and beyond, it can feel like there is no escape. I have learned we cannot always control what comes, but we can learn to manage it and make peace with our body. Some days are easier, some are harder.

My passion for building Zen Wellness Centre – Recovery Clinic grew from walking through that storm myself, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Our team at Zen works alongside your GP, Go Physio and other allied health professionals. Our services do not claim to cure migraine or other conditions. Our focus is on supporting general wellbeing, comfort and recovery as part of your broader care plan. We assist with physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing through proper training and qualifications, within our scope of practice.

In my view, as both a patient and practitioner: you do not need a perfect body to go to the gym. Love your body for what it is. We are here to help you improve, not to be perfect. You do not need to be a millionaire to prioritise regular self-care. Your health matters.

Me and our Zen team – Pookie, Brandan and Geoff – bring our knowledge, skills and formal training, and we aim to provide a welcoming and safe environment. We cannot wait to welcome new faces and familiar faces to learn and grow together.
