Weekend plans? Here’s a slightly cheeky ask... make one that includes another person. 😄

Mental Health Month has about a week left, and the theme’s been Together We Thrive.

Most of us are great at saying “we should catch up soon” and then not doing it.

So pick someone, pick something small, and lock it in. A walk or a coffee is plenty.

It doesn’t have to be fancy. Showing up is most of it. 🌿

Tell us what you’ve got on this weekend, or who you’re about to text. 💬

What actually resets you after a rough day? 🎧

Not the “I should really go for a run” answer. The real one... like is it music turned up loud in the car? A cuppa on the verandah with the phone off?

Mental Health Month has ten days left, and the theme is Together We Thrive.

A big part of that is knowing what looks after you, and being happy to pass it on to a friend who’s having a week. 🌿

Drop yours in the comments. We’re keen to borrow a few. 😄

So we’re nearly two thirds of the way through "Together We Thrive" Mental Health Month for this year... and it’s an easy one. 🌿

☕️The barista who knows your order.

👋 The neighbour who always waves.

Tiny stuff, but small everyday moments of connection do a lot more for us than we might give them credit for. 🙏

Life’s can feel like a lot for plenty of people, so we reckon that a quick hello or a text out of the blue would count a lot.

If there's someone who makes your week easier just by being around, give them a shout-out in the comments. 💬

You don't have to use their name if you don't want to, maybe just say how they help.

So what do you think they would say...? 💭

Could be a simple thank you?

It could just as easily be a kind of cheeky “go sit down for a bit”. 😄

We can’t speak for anyone, but it’s a good question to feel out as National Carers Week comes to an end.

So what do you think it could be? Not the big serious answer either, just whatever comes into your head first.

If you’re a carer, have a think about what you’d want to hear back.

Tell us in the comments if you feel like it. Whatever the answer, you really have earnt a proper rest this weekend. 🌿

What’s the best inside joke you’ve got with someone you care for? 😂

We reckon every carer has one.

A funny nickname, a look across the room that says it all.

It can be easy to forget that caring goes both ways.

The person on the other end is making you laugh, teaching you patience, and probably nicking your fries. 🍟

It’s a real relationship, with plenty of good bits in it, and Carers Week is a nice time to remember that.

Go on, share your favourite one in the comments. We want all the good bits. 💬

Someone you love needs a hand, so you give them one.

Then a few more... until it’s just what you do, because that’s what love looks like in real life. 💙

Around three million Australians do this unpaid, for family and friends, usually on top of work, study and everything else.

Chances are you know a carer. Maybe you are one.

This week we're saying thank you... thank you for all of it, especially the bits nobody sees.

Quick question. If a friend asked how you’re doing right now, what would you say if you didn’t have to keep it short? 😅

Tomorrow, Saturday, is World Mental Health Day, so it’s a good time to try being a bit more real with the answer.

It doesn’t have to be a big heart-to-heart, maybe just something like 'a bit flat this week' or 'actually pretty good, thanks' is a good start.

Same goes the other way. If you ask someone how they’re going, wait a second for the real answer. 🙌

If things are heavy and you need someone to talk to, Lifeline’s on 13 11 14, any time.

We hope Mental Health Day is a kind one for you. 🌿

Okay, settle this for us. Where's the best spot on the Sunshine Coast or in Gympie to watch the sun go down? 🌅

We reckon everyone's got one.

Is it the beach, a lookout, the bench... but not a fancy tourist pick either, the one you'd only tell a friend. 🗣️

Same goes for coffee. Who's making your go-to flat white right now? ☕

Drop your favourites below. It's a good excuse to find somewhere new this week.

So how was your long weekend? 😄 Hope it was a good one.

We reckon the best weekends are the ones where you get to do what you actually want, at your own pace.

And for a lot of people we know, having the right support in their corner can make a long weekend more enjoyable.

Getting out the door, catching up with a mate, being part of things. It's easy to take for granted, but when you think about it, it's pretty special. 🌤️

Tomorrow it's back to school and back to routine, so here's hoping tonight's a chill one.

Tell us what you got up to... we'd love to hear. 💬

An update worth knowing about. 📢

From 1 October, some NDIS funding is changing, mainly around community participation and daily living skills supports.

Some of the money in these areas is getting cut back over the next year as plans get renewed or reviewed.

Good news is, the important stuff isn't touched.

Help with things like eating, dressing, showering, cleaning, nursing care, home and vehicle changes, that's all staying the same.

And if you or someone you know needs round the clock support, there's actually a new pathway now to make sure that's properly funded too.

Changes like this can feel a bit confusing, or honestly a bit worrying, especially if you're not sure how it touches your own plan.

So if you've read this and gone "wait, what does this mean for me?" that's completely fair, and we're more than happy to chat it through with you.

What bit of your plan matters most to you day to day? Keen to hear what you think. 💬
