We are so excited to welcome Madison to the Eyre & Gulf Support Services family as one of our newest Disability Support Workers.

Madison brings a kind, friendly and enthusiastic nature, along with a genuine passion for helping others. She is excited to support participants in achieving their goals, building independence and making a positive difference in their everyday lives. Madison is particularly looking forward to building meaningful connections with the people she supports and being someone they can rely on.

Outside of work, Madison loves keeping active and enjoys going to the gym, playing netball and basketball. She also loves spending quality time with family and friends, whether that's heading out for a meal, spending a day at the beach or enjoying a spontaneous adventure! 🏀🏐🌊

Expression of Interest | Casual Administration Assistant

Whyalla based

Eyre & Gulf Support Services is looking for expressions of interest from someone interested in joining our team in a casual administration role.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised, reliable and proactive person who can assist with general office administration, paperwork, scheduling, documentation and keeping on top of the day-to-day administrative side of our business.

The role will involve a combination of office-based tasks and some face-to-face administrative support, including following up documentation, assisting with compliance requirements and helping ensure everything is kept organised and up to date.

We're looking for someone who is bright, bubbly, organised and forward-thinking, with a proactive approach and the ability to take initiative, prioritise tasks and keep things moving without needing constant direction. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team are also important.

Previous administration experience would be an advantage, particularly in disability services, community services or a similar industry.

This is a casual position with the potential for growth and further opportunities for the right person as our business continues to expand. Duties, hours and role expectations will be discussed with suitable applicants.

🎉 OUR WEBSITE IS OFFICIALLY LIVE! 🎉

Something we've been working on behind the scenes for a little while now, and I'm so excited to finally share it with everyone!

Eyre & Gulf Support Services now has its very own website! 💙

As we continue to grow, it was really important to me that we had somewhere people could go to learn a little more about us, the services we offer and what Eyre & Gulf Support Services is all about.

Our new website gives you the opportunity to explore our services, learn more about our team and get in touch with us a little easier!

I also want to give a massive thank you to Tim from Codemash - Website Specialists for all of his hard work, time and dedication in making this happen!

Tim is local through and through, which is something I really value. Throughout this whole process, he's been nothing but helpful, approachable and incredibly responsive. Nothing has ever seemed too much trouble, and he's genuinely taken the time to understand my vision for Eyre & Gulf and bring it to life.

I honestly cannot recommend Tim and CodeMash highly enough! If you're looking to have a website designed, give your current website a fresh new look or need someone reliable to help with ongoing maintenance, I would absolutely encourage you to reach out to him.

It's been a pretty big year for us, and seeing things like this come to life is such an exciting feeling. There's still so much more I want to achieve with Eyre & Gulf, but I'm incredibly proud of how far we've come already.

🎳 WHYALLA COMMUNITY STRIKERS – TRAINING CANCELLED 🎳

Unfortunately, due to a wave of sickness making its way through both our players and support workers, we've made the decision to cancel today's training session, Thursday 8th October.

We want everyone to have the chance to rest up, recover and get back to feeling their best!

We'll see everyone back next Thursday, 15th October, at 4:00pm for our next game against the Port Pirie Roll Models!

Thank you all for your understanding, and we wish everyone who is feeling unwell a speedy recovery!

🤧 A little update from Eyre & Gulf Support Services

Sickness has well and truly been wreaking havoc through our household lately! Unfortunately, Rebecca, our Director and Support Coordinator, is currently quite unwell, along with the littlest members of the Eyre & Gulf household. 💙

Because of this, you may have noticed that responses have been a little slower than usual over the past week.

Rebecca is still working to the best of her ability and catching up where and when she can while also trying to rest and recover. As the main point of contact for our Support Coordination and general enquiries, we really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while she gets back on her feet.

📱 The best ways to contact Rebecca at the moment are:

Text message for quick questions, updates or check-ins.

Email for anything urgent, lengthy, or requiring a more detailed or complex response.

Please know that your messages haven't been forgotten, and Rebecca takes her role and the people she supports incredibly seriously. Sometimes sickness just has other plans, especially when it decides to make its way through the whole household at once! 😅

We apologise for any inconvenience or delays this may cause and genuinely appreciate everyone's patience, kindness and understanding during this time.

🎳 WHYALLA COMMUNITY STRIKERS VS PORT PIRIE ROLL MODELS! 🎳

Today, our Whyalla Community Strikers took on the Port Pirie Roll Models for our first friendly match! 💙

The results are yet to be determined, but today was about so much more than the scoreboard.

There were cheers coming from every direction, with everyone celebrating a great bowl, whether it came from one of our Strikers or one of the Roll Models! 🙌

One of the best parts was watching new friendships begin to form between the two teams. There were plenty of laughs, encouragement and some wonderful sportsmanship throughout the afternoon.

A huge thank you to the Port Pirie Roll Models for making the trip over and sharing such a great afternoon with us. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🎳
