Dr Rhian Pickard is now an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor.

She came to skin cancer medicine through surgical training in burns and plastics, where she spent a year treating patients with advanced melanoma, seeing firsthand what an earlier diagnosis can change. That experience has shaped her approach to dermoscopy and early detection ever since.

Accreditation through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia involves additional, formal training and assessment specifically in skin cancer medicine, on top of her existing GP qualifications. It's the same standard held by the rest of our Accredited Skin Cancer Doctors.

One of the newest doctors joining our Glen Iris team, Dr. Stephanie Newnham is a skin cancer doctor passionate about early detection, accurate diagnosis and management of skin cancer. With advanced training in dermoscopy, she provides comprehensive skin checks with a strong focus on patient education and ongoing skin surveillance.

Dr. Newnham is currently completing advanced training toward becoming an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor.

Before joining SkinGP Woodend, Dr Outridge ran skin cancer clinics for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in rural south-west Queensland. What he saw there wasn't unusual for the region: builders, council workers, and farmers with years of outdoor sun exposure, and skin cancer showing up accordingly in a largely fair-skinned population.
