How to Practice Ujjayi Pranayama Breathing

Start with some simple sounds. Some traditions encourage you to focus on the sound of the breath during inhalations and exhalations.
Direct the breath to the back of the throat. On the inhalation, gently constrict your throat so the base of the tongue contracts slightly. ...
Release the wave of breath with a-HA. As you start this practice, you can exhale with your lips open and softly whisper “HA.”

Coming back to basics of Yoga Philosophy. The Eight Limbs of Yoga. # 1. Yama
The first limb, yama, deals with one's ethical standards and sense of integrity, focusing on our behavior and how we conduct ourselves in life. Yamas are universal practices that relate best to what we know as the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Winter Season is the time to slow down and find your soul.

The Winter season is the perfect time to hone your truth and tend to Your Heart. Time to reflect on the previous year and discover yourself again. We will be starting our Winter Session at Take a Breath Yoga Wednesday January 8th running for twelve weeks, ending Wednesday April 1st.

I have had the pleasure of meeting an amazing group of yogis in my community and seeing their progress is inspiring. Let us embrace the Winter season and enjoy all it’s beauty.

“In a way Winter is the real Spring – the time when the inner things happen, the resurgence of nature.”

Shanti and Namaste!
