5 reasons to consider getting your flu shot according to Dr. Jonathan Davids, Corporate Medical Director, DriverCheck:

🔴 Prepare for the possibility of a “twindemic” that could result from severe outbreaks of both COVID-19 and influenza.

🔴 Help cut down on symptom confusion.

🔴 We can't say what would happen if someone contracted both flu and #COVID19, but conceivably the two viruses could act together and make you more ill.

🔴 Flu and COVID-19 share many symptoms and it’s going to be a challenge for doctors to differentiate between these illnesses.

🔴 Although getting a flu shot doesn't mean someone couldn't still get the flu, knowing if a patient had the flu vaccine is important information during a pandemic.

“The costs of the unwell mind are huge. What is the cost of an unwell mind in your organization?" 🧠

Attendee’s answered:

"Absenteeism, decreed moral and culture, productivity, presentism, disability cost, shipping errors, high incidents, collision costs, and accidents”

Thank you, Dr. Geoffrey Soloway for joining us this morning and opening our minds to the world of "#Mindfulness". It's safe to say the #FFDS2020 audience had fun and stayed as focused as possible for a Friday morning! 😛

"When we look at risk factors for #COVID19 we are talking about the immune system, we are talking about respiratory disease. We are concerned that people who have a substance use disorder can be at increased risk. So, does having a problem with alcohol, cannabis or even illegal drugs affect your covid risk? The answer seems to be yeah, it absolutely does."

Another friendly face! Dr. Iris Greenwald, our Senior Medical Review Officer joined us this afternoon to explore COVID-19 and Substance Use in what proved to be another eye-opening presentation.

If you've attended one of our summits in the past, you will recognize this smiling face.
