Here is more information on the documentary:
In 2006, 25-year-old Jason DaSilva was on vacation at the beach with family when, suddenly, he fell down. He couldn't get back up. His legs had stopped working; his disease could no longer be ignored. Just a few months earlier doctors had told him that he had multiple sclerosis, which could lead to loss of vision and muscle control, as well as a myriad of other complications. Jason tried exercise to help cope, but the problem only worsened. After his dispiriting fall on the beach, he turned to his Mom, who reminded him that, despite his disease, he was still a fortunate kid who had the opportunity to pursue the things he loved most: art and filmmaking. Jason picked up the camera, turned it on his declining body, and set out on a worldwide journey in search of healing, self-discovery, and love.

Dr. Karen Lee's Blog | An Inside Look at MS Research

Each year the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis – better known as ECTRIMS – holds a week long conference to discuss the latest advancements in MS research and therapies.

The web team has assisted us in developing a blog that will serve as a platform for our reporting. On the blog http://drkarenlee.ca you will read about what we are up to at ECTRIMS, who we are meeting with from the MS research community, and most importantly what the latest in research is revealing about MS.

The blog will be headed by Dr. Karen Lee, who as most of you know is the Vice President of Research at the MS Society of Canada. Karen and the team will be at the front lines, collecting information and relaying it to you, our blog readers.

In addition to the contributing to the blog, Karen will also be Tweeting during ECTRIMS. Follow @dr_karenlee to read all the latest updates on ECTRIMS and MS research.

Please spread the word about the blog and Karen's twitter feed to anyone who would be interested in reading about MS research and the ECTRIMS Congress.

Greetings!Leave a replyGreetings! My name is Dr. Karen Lee, and I am the Vice President of Research at the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. On a typical day you will find me in Toronto overseeing research operations and developing new initiatives to stimulate research in MS. The Asociación Española de Esclerosis Múltiple (AEDEM) is organising a get-together in Malaga, southern Spain from 28 to 31 October 2013 for young people with MS (aged 18-35).

Five places are available to young people living outside of Spain.

The cost of accommodation, meals, trips and activities will be covered by AEDEM.

Applicants will need to pay for and arrange their own travel.

It would be useful for applicants to have basic level Spanish.
