🔥 Learning, laughing, and getting hands-on with fire safety! 🧯
We had such a wonderful afternoon with the Bathurst Fire Department learning about fire safety, asking plenty of questions, and then heading outside for the best part, getting to use the fire extinguishers ourselves! 🔥🧯 Everyone got a turn, and we definitely had some fun while learning a skill that could make all the difference in an emergency.
One of the most special moments of the afternoon was for one of our own participants, who was a firefighter herself. ❤️ Seeing her get the chance to stand alongside today’s firefighters and capture a photo together was a pretty special moment for all of us.
And we couldn’t make this post without recognizing the people who made the afternoon possible. Partway through our presentation, some of the crew were called away to respond to an emergency, a real-life reminder of the commitment that comes with the job.

🔥 Apprendre, rire et mettre la main à la pâte avec la sécurité incendie! 🧯
On a passé un super bel après-midi avec le Service d’incendie de Bathurst à en apprendre davantage sur la sécurité incendie, à poser plein de questions, puis à sortir dehors pour la meilleure partie — essayer les extincteurs nous-mêmes! 🔥🧯 Tout le monde a eu son tour, et on a certainement eu du plaisir tout en apprenant quelque chose qui pourrait faire toute la différence en cas d’urgence.
Un des moments les plus spéciaux de l’après-midi a été pour une de nos participantes, qui a elle-même été pompière. ❤️ La voir aux côtés des pompiers d’aujourd’hui et pouvoir prendre une belle photo avec eux a été un moment vraiment spécial pour nous tous.
On ne pouvait pas faire cette publication sans reconnaître ceux et celles qui ont rendu cet après-midi possible. Pendant la présentation, certains membres de l’équipe ont dû partir pour répondre à un appel d’urgence — un vrai rappel de l’engagement qui vient avec leur travail.
