We want to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to support our first Embracing Ability fundraiser of the season at Boston Pizza last Thursday!

It was a wonderful evening bringing together friends, families, volunteers and our community to support the continued growth of Burlington Soccer Club’s Embracing Ability Program. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, donated, volunteered, purchased raffle tickets, participated in the 50/50 and helped spread the word.

This Saturday, we’re back on the New Office Turf for our Fall Embracing Ability Program!

We’d love to have all of our amazing volunteers join us early at 8:30 AM for a quick game of soccer before we welcome our athletes. It’s a great chance to get moving, have some fun, and get to know the rest of our volunteer team.

Our Embracing Ability Program is back in action and now running out of our new Burlington Soccer Club office space, featuring our indoor turf located at 3325 N Service Rd Unit 1, Burlington, ON L7N 3G2.

We’re especially excited to welcome a new group of enthusiastic and engaged volunteers who are ready to get on the field and welcome our athletes. We have SOOO many amazing volunteers this season, and their energy and commitment are already making a difference!

💙 It’s not too late to join us! Registration is still open for athletes of all abilities.

If you’re having trouble completing your registration, please note that an athlete photo is now required as part of the registration process. This is a new requirement this year and may be the reason you’re unable to complete the registration.

This weekend, Coach Karma will be representing the Embracing Ability Program at the FREE Back to School Resource Fair at the Burlington Lions Club, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Come out and connect with local organizations and learn more about the resources and supports available to children, youth, and families, including:

• School Advocacy Support
• Speech & Occupational Therapists
• Mental Health Supports
• Recreation & Inclusive Programming
• Financial Resources

Soccer Volunteers Wanted!

Fall is just around the corner, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers (ages 13+) to join our inclusive soccer program for athletes ages 5–15 with developmental and/or physical disabilities.

Help build confidence, friendships, and a love of soccer in a fun, supportive environment! 🙌

📅 Saturdays, October 17–December 19, 2026
📍 Sherwood Forest Park
⏰ 8:45–11:15 a.m.

Volunteer Requirements:
✔️ Ages 13+
✔️ Minimum 80% attendance
✔️ Complete AODA training
✔️ Positive, patient, and ready to make a difference!

📚 Mandatory New Volunteer Training:
Friday, October 2 | 5:30–8:00 p.m.
