This was ME back in the days of COUNTING , WEIGHING , TRACKING food - that continually kept me in the trap of control , fear around my body changing and disordered eating
.
Ever wonder why so many ppl start a point tracking diet program to only then start it again the following year , to only start it AGAIN the following year ...... to only ... - YOU GET IT
.
The issue with many of the celebrity driven diet programs are that they don’t address any sort of UNDERLYING relationship to food issue or hormonal upset that is keeping us in these addiction cycles .
.
When we equate food to a NUMBER or POINT system we are still living with a jail like mentality around food
.
When we exit out an entire MACRO - ex ZERO CARB - we undoubtedly create an unsustainable way of eating and living which leads us to
“ failure” only reaching for the NEXT THING .....
.
What if the best version of your body was available to you when you started to actually work on your PSYCHOLOGY around food and your relationship to yo self 👌🏻☝🏻

What if food freedom was really about you reconnecting with yourself on an emotional level and work on the deeper sh$t

❣️Self awareness is step #1 - being able to consciously SEE this pattern and see the dependency we have with food - is the first thing. Make the unconscious - conscious ❤️👀
.
❣️There are steps to take to really work on our relationship to food - BIOCHEMICAL responses re BRAIN on food and BRAIN on SUGAR !
.
❣️We can bring in more VIT D - help our body create more seratonin, allowing us to process things better - and not reach for REWARD response foods. .
.
❣️Processed foods - mainly sugar can act like a DRUG in your brain - causing a DOPAMINE hit each and every time you eat it. Sugar has to be eaten at an increasing rate for the brain to keep getting the “ hit “ the [email protected] reaction only will happen with more and more DRUG ☝🏻D R U G !
.
❣️Microbiome - can alter what we CRAVE and “ want “ -this isn’t about WILLPOWER or having strong enough thoughts. It’s biology 🧬 and our bodies being starved in the wrong ways - cells starved of glucose ( insulin resistant) or bad gut bugs 🐛 taking over the control in the gut.
❣️taking a minute to get present with the moment we want to BINGE - take a moment to feel what comes up for you. If you give time between the THOUGHT 👉🏻and the ACTION of bingeing - I know something will come up for you - an emotion, a memory etc. Sit with this even for a couple minutes.

❣️ stop restrictioning ! The NO CARB , NO FOOD , POINT SYSTEM, COUNTING systems are still creating a rigidity when it comes to food. If you have an u healthy relationship to food- then any program that latches to a control mechanism or points program is a short term camouflage of your relationship to food .
Ultimately coming to a place of HONOURING body and self is when relationship to food changes.

❤️it truly starts to changing relationship to SELF - you are worthy , you deserve to feel good , you deserve to be free , perfection doesn’t exist , and you are safe to feel your feelings 🥰

Often WEIGHTLOSS is the goal - for any woman I work with.

Healing from an eating disorder this was an important step I had to wrap my head and heart around ♥️

This( goal of WEIGHTLOSS ) is obvious as our society has programmed us to believe this is something to change or something to loath
.
A couple things I always want to bring to attention is WHAT our weight or extra energy ( stored ) in the body is TELLING US
.
See our bodies are communicating with us every minute! 💭
.
Our bodies will show symptoms - weight is a symptom - and it’s our bodies way of communicating that something needs to be looked at !
.
I use the example of belly rolls but this is across the board with Pain , bad periods , infertility, acne , insomnia, constipation , et. 💩
.
Our bodies are programmed to find the Balance point , the HEALING pathway , the least amount of effort pathway - BUT WE HAVE TO GIVE IT THE ENVIRONMENT a to do this !
.
Don’t get upset with your body , or abandon your self bc of these symptoms- start to ask your body .... WHAT DO YOU NEED ?
.
What can I do for you ?
How can I ease stress ?#cortisolbelly
How can I give you more REST ? 💤
How can I FUEL you better ? ( insulin - blood sugar - belly fat )🍋🫒

The narrative that leaves us disowning our bodies and thinking our bodies naturally betray us aka breakdown with disease and illness is a lie ! #lie

Our mindset is what makes the difference between us COMMITTING to ourselves and our nourishment versus us falling into codependent habits with food , alcohol , or obsessive tendencies

A big Mental block for people is the scale !

THE number on that damn scale does NOT accurately represent your progress or value AT ALL

When you really understand body comp. and how your body works to rebalance and become nourished on a cellular level- you’d realize what a piece of crap that scale is !!!
