No pup too big, no pup too small! 🐾❤️

Willow and I were back at it, volunteering at another community fundraiser! This time it was Boos & Brews in support of the Mackenzie Family Resource Centre! 🎃🍻

Good people, a great cause, and Willow doing what she does best… stealing hearts while I do the work! 😂🐕.

Willow has her Cuppy, so it’s only fair I get my own “cuppy” of Booster Juice to fuel up for the drive home! 😂🥤🐾

And seriously, if you haven’t tried the PB and A Bowl yet, you’re missing out! 🤤

🚨 STORY TIME WITH SALTY SARGE 🚨

Somewhere out there is a guy who learned the hard way that not all fences are created equal. 😂

Back in my policing days, a foot chase took an unexpected turn when a suspect decided a six-foot wooden fence was his ticket to freedom.

What he didn’t know was that I hate hopping fences and I was about to discover something pretty entertaining about that fence. 🤣

Let’s just say things didn’t quite go according to his plan.

And yes, I eventually had some explaining to do to my Sergeant. 🤷‍♀️😂

Do you want more random stories from my popo or army days?

Okay Booster Juice …serious question. Does Mr Smoothie have an actual name or will he forever be known as Mr Smoothie? I figure since Willow is quite attached, I should refer to him by his actual name. 😂 Inquiring minds would like to know. 😁

It was so cool to be able to travel with another service dog, let alone Willow’s big sister. Check out these service dogs at work at the airport. 😊

Why do we use golf to train our minds? ⛳️🧠

Because understanding a mental health tool is one thing. Learning how to use it when emotions are running high is another.

Last week, I had the opportunity to share with clinicians how we use the golf course as a training ground for mental resilience. I love having clinicians in my groups because it challenges me and the program so when the mental health professionals are wowed…I know we are on the right track.

Golf gives us something incredibly valuable. Real emotions, real frustrations and real opportunities to practise managing our responses in a relatively safe environment.

The best part? The tools we bring to the golf course are the same ones we can take back into everyday life.

We’re not teaching golf. We’re using golf to teach something much bigger.

Once a golfer, always a golfer. 😂⛳️🐾

How many times will I “club twirl” the Chuckit! while playing fetch with Willow?

I’ll give you a hint… it’s more than 1 and less than 20. 😂😂

Drop your guesses below! 👇

Apparently, even fetch needs a little flair. 💁‍♀️

Back in Alberta! Huge shout out to the organizers of the Invisible Wounds conference and all the amazing speakers and attendees that made it an incredibly meaningful experience. ® Veterans and Everyday Heroes Boots On The Ground Twelve Mile Recovery and so many more. You are truly amazing and appreciated.

Have to give a shoutout to the Alberta First Responders too from the WGY6km run on Saturday before we flew east. The last 5 days have been a blur, but there has been a lot of love, a lot of laughs and a lot of great memories in our joint mission to support mental health on the frontline.

What’s next?!? …nap time! 😂😴
