In the world of quirks and peculiarities, the longer second toenail phenomenon has emerged as an intriguing testament to the endless variations that nature can bestow upon us. While we often scrutinize our big toes for signs of perfection, it's the second toenail that sometimes takes the spotlight in this delightful quirk of genetics.

The world is filled with individuals whose second toenails gracefully extend beyond the shadow of their mighty big toe, defying convention and embracing uniqueness. Just as our personalities and preferences differ, so do our toes, reminding us that diversity is not only the spice of life but the essence of our very beings.

So, if you happen to be among the fortunate bearers of this second toenail charm, wear it with pride, for in this world, it's the quirks and oddities that make us truly extraordinary. 💅👣

Project Lifesaver Guelph Wellington helps families protect members who may wander. Typically, these are people living with Alzheimer’s, autism, Down’s Syndrome, acquired brain injury or other types of cognitive impairment.

The way Project Lifesaver operates is by equipping individuals with a 1-ounce wrist transmitter that sends a radio signal which can be tracked up to a 2-kilometer radius. The system operates 24/7, 365 days a year. When notified by caregivers that an individual has gone missing, specially trained police officers use mobile tracking equipment to locate the missing individual.

- We currently have 36 active clients within Guelph and Wellington County
- The average search time is 26 minutes
- We have provided support to 230 clients since the program started in 2011

Caretakers are responsible for checking the battery daily and filling out daily log sheets.

For more information on Project Lifesaver and eligibility requirements we invite you to visit our website. https://www.vswguelph.on.ca/project-lifesaver-wellington/

If you regularly stand for long periods, you can keep your legs healthy and strong with these two quick tips:

1. Take at least 7 steps every hour to flex your calf muscles and activate the calf pump in your legs to improve blood circulation

2. Wear compression socks to reduce discomfort and help prevent venous insufficiency

Don’t be the 1 in 3 people who should get checked but don’t.

This National Save Lives with Prevention Awareness.

Keeping up to date with colorectal screening is an important part of prevention. A screening test checks for colorectal cancer when there are no signs or symptoms of the disease.

Did you know ❓❗
Most colorectal cancer deaths could be avoided if everyone aged 50 years and older underwent regular screening tests.

Wondering where to get screened?
The F***l Immunochemical Test (FIT) is an at-home screening test. To get your FREE FIT, talk to your family doctor or nurse practitioner (https://uppergrandfht.org/our-physicians/). If you do not have a family doctor, you can get a FIT by calling Health811 (TTY: 1-866-797-0007).
