🚀 Another step toward transforming hand rehabilitation! 🖐️✨

IRegained was pleased to demonstrate the MyHand® System at Kennedy White Orthopaedic Center (KOWC) in Sarasota, Florida 📍 with MaKenna Bailey, MOT, OTR/L. 🤝

We showcased how MyHand® can be used to support the rehabilitation and recovery of hand function for different orthopaedic patients—including those recovering from hand surgeries, injuries, and other conditions affecting hand movement. 🩺🦾

🎯 The goal is simple but important: help patients work toward better hand movement, function, and independence while giving clinicians innovative tools to support their rehabilitation journey. 🌱

We appreciate MaKenna and the KOWC team for their time, interest, and thoughtful discussion about the role technology can play in the future of hand rehabilitation. 🙏💡

🚀 A milestone moment for IRegained and MyHand®!

Dr. Vineet Johnson, Founder & CEO of IRegained Inc., Canada 🇨🇦, has successfully installed the first MyHand® System in India 🇮🇳 at Manipal Hospitals, Whitefield, Bengaluru 🏥.

And the journey has already begun! ✨

Two patients have completed their first sessions on MyHand®, experiencing the technology firsthand as part of their hand rehabilitation journey 🦾. Both completed their sessions satisfied and are looking forward to returning for their follow-up sessions in the coming days 📅😊.

For us, this is more than just an installation. It marks the beginning of bringing technology-enabled hand rehabilitation closer to patients and clinicians in India.

What happens when a hand with minimal finger movement begins to show signs of movement? That was the moment that caught the attention of the rehabilitation team at Punarvaas Hospital, Bengaluru.

Dr. Vineet Johnson, Founder & CEO of IRegained Inc., Canada, introduced the MyHand System to Dr. Srikant Venkatakrishnan, Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, along with Mr. Deepak, Operations; Dr. Manjunath, Therapy Lead; and the hospital’s team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

The real learning began when MyHand® was put to the test in a clinical setting. During a session with a patient who had minimal voluntary finger movement and no significant finger extension, the therapists observed a minimal increase in finger extension after approximately 20 minutes of using the MyHand® System. It may appear to be a small change. But in hand rehabilitation, every movement matters, as it paves the way for broader rehabilitation plans.

For the Punarvaas team, this was an opportunity to observe firsthand how sensory and motor stimulation through technology could potentially support the rehabilitation process and encourage clinicians to explore new possibilities in working with hand function.

For IRegained, these clinical interactions are at the heart of our journey, bringing MyHand into the hands of clinicians, enabling them to experience the technology firsthand, evaluate its potential, and explore how it can complement existing rehabilitation practices.

A meaningful step forward in advancing technology-led rehabilitation took place at Sakra World Hospital, Bengaluru, where Dr. Vineet Johnson, Founder & CEO of IRegained Inc., Canada, delivered a lecture on Sensorimotor Control of the Hand and presented the MyHand System to a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

The session brought together key members of Sakra’s rehabilitation team, including Dr. Maheswarappa, Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine; Dr. A. Manimuthu, Head of Physiotherapy; and Dr. Guruvignesh G., Team Leader & In-Charge, Occupational Therapy, along with a strong gathering of occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Dr. Johnson explored the intricate relationship between sensorimotor control and functional hand movement, before introducing the MyHand System and its potential applications in hand rehabilitation. The session provided clinicians with an opportunity to understand the technology, explore its clinical applications and discuss how technology-enabled assessment and therapy can complement existing rehabilitation practices.

We are looking for individuals in the GTA to join our waitlist to trial the MyHand® System—a groundbreaking innovation in targeted hand rehabilitation, proudly designed and developed in Ontario! 🇨🇦

Our recent trial day at Neurochangers in Etobicoke had an excellent turnout:
✨ 12 out of 14 patients shared that the MyHand® System helped them move their hand in ways they haven’t been able to on their own recently after just ONE 30-minute session!
✨ 13 out of 14 patients said they would recommend the MyHand® System to other stroke/TBI survivors.
✨ 13 out of 14 participants told us the interactive games motivated them to push themselves and attend therapy more often.
✨ 13 out of 14 participants mentioned they would be more likely to choose a clinic that offers this specific technology over one that only relies on traditional exercises.

At MIOT Hospital, Chennai, Dr. Vineet Johnson, Founder & CEO of IRegained Inc., Canada, introduced the MyHand® System to a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals.

Dr. Vijayraghavan, Dr. Dave Robert James, Dr. Chinju, Dr. A.K. Vaheda Banu, Dr. Dharshini, Dr. Shyam Joseph, Dr. Divya, and Dr. Arib had the opportunity to experience the device firsthand and explore its potential in hand rehabilitation.

The hands-on session sparked meaningful conversations across PM&R, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy around neuroplasticity, technology-assisted rehabilitation, and the future of patient care.
