Growtherapy: Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellbeing
It's okay to make mistakes.
It's something we say a lot to kids and young people, especially in schools, but saying it and living it or showing it through our actions are two very different things.
What could we change or improve in how we respond to children and young people to action the words "mistakes are okay"? What could we change or improve in our systems and practices to deeply embed the sense that mistakes are okay? That mistakes are opportunities for growth and learning? Can we be brave enough to model this by acknowledging our own mistakes and our own struggles with making mistakes?
I'm putting my hand up here as a perfectionist who still struggles with making mistakes - I'm getting there though. These days I can mess up without crying, although it still takes a lot of self-talk and reframing to feel okay. How about you? Is it something you struggle with? What helps you to remember that it's okay to make mistakes?

There's nothing wrong with asking for help when you need it. It's definitely not a sign of weakness, but bravery. If you can't do it alone, ask for help and there will always be people to help you.
Ask for help and offer help and support to the ones who need it. This will help you connect with people on a much deeper level, more than you realize.
Even though holiday celebrations will be different this year, there are still ways you can connect. Take time for yourself but don't forget to check in with loved ones. 🤗
Holidays can be tinged with sadness for those of us mourning the loss of a loved one or dealing with other big life changes. Remember to check in.

Good Morning Witches and Blessed Be!!
Saturday's magic is for sowing seeds for our future. A great way to help these seeds grow or manifest is to create a focal point for your intentions.
Check out my new YouTube video that walks you through some winter crafts and Winter Altar.
It's best to make our winter altar as close to the Solstice as possible to harness the energy of the shifting season. Going from the hustle and bustle of the Autumn season to a slow and steady pace of winter.
Don't forget Monday kicks off the 12 days of Yule Instagram series. I'll have a few special guests and share stories/ fables and rituals to help you through the longest nights of the year. I'll be live every day at 11 am EDT until Jan 1st! I hope you'll grab your coziest blanket, favorite cuppa and join me for the 12 days of Yule.
Sit and Sip a while as Karena from The Witch's Inn teaches you how to build a winters altar and makes some holiday crafts. About Karena Let me introduce myse...

“I believe in setting ourselves up for success and recognizing that we are enough now while striving for growth and joy. I’m also all for saying goodbye to old school resolutions that don’t serve us and can negatively impact our mental health. Instead of the standard New Year’s resolutions try one of these ideas.”
This year let's ring in 2021 with self-acceptance by using one of these compassionate alternatives to New Year's Resolutions.
A fantastic opportunity to get our workout on with the amazing Adele at Renegade Xtreme Fitness!!

You still have time to make your New Moon Intentions.
What are you calling in this lunar cycle?
Have you made your new moon intentions yet?
As you cast out your intentions for the new moon, throw anything and everything that's no longer serving you into the fire.
Close your eyes, taking a moment to think about the stories, experiences, and patterns that are keeping you from connecting with your higher self and destiny.
As you release these narratives into the fire offer them gratitude and forgiveness. Feel yourself breaking free. When you open your eyes, notice the fire dancing. This is your soul, ready to dance with the cycles of life. You are transformed. Know this in your bones.
