May 5th is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls

"The National Inquiry’s Final Report reveals that persistent and deliberate human and Indigenous rights violations and abuses are the root cause behind Canada’s staggering rates of violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people. The two volume report calls for transformative legal and social changes to resolve the crisis that has devastated Indigenous communities across the country."

Read it here: https://www.mmiwg-ffada.ca/final-report/

Today, May 5th, is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2Spirit people.

“Indigenous women and girls are five times more likely to experience violence than any other population in Canada and this violence tends to result in more serious harm.”

#MMIW is real and devastating. The women, girls and 2Spirit people in our communities are sacred and deserving of love and safety. Protect our sisters. ✊🏽

Is your child experiencing any of these?

- Extreme outbursts or excessive mood swings

- Persistent nightmares and a lack of sleep that are affecting your child’s day
- Avoiding formerly enjoyable activities, including spending time with friends
- Unusually quiet, sad or reserved, preoccupied

"Find your feet." 👣 Plant the bottoms of your feet firmly into the ground; feel your body in relation to the wold around it.

When you see the words "find your feet" do you "feel" your feet differently than you did just a few seconds before landing on this sentence? Me too.

Mindfulness as a practice asks us to call attention to sensory experiences we don't orient to; things we experience on autopilot without tuning in. "Finding your feet" is a great verbal prompt for reminding yourself, and your kids to tune in, and be mindful. If you're a sensory sensitive person, you may be "too in tune" with certain sensory experiences, especially when you get stressed out; a phrase like "find your feet" can help you redirect to a different sensory experience, shift your focus, reconnect and regroup when the world starts spinning around you.

If you are a parent, talking about emotions and why they are happening will help your child learn to express what they are feeling. This will help you to be aware and respond to these emotions.

It will also help to create a safe and strong relationship and the best conditions for them to learn, grow and thrive.

Hey Loves Karena from The Witch's Inn here. I thought I'd post today's episode of SIt&Sip Awhiles. It's on the Solar Plexus and focuses on our self worth. Gently asking ourself where we can be open more. It's pretty groovy. Take a listen if you feel called 👯
In like a lion, out like a lamb. I don't know about how your March is starting but here its clear skies and bright sunshine. Blessed March everyone. I had forgotten my sister (@23210erica) gifted me affirmation cards made by @thirtyone. "The Next Chapter of Your Life has Yet to Be Written". @cindymmonroe. Such an appropriate card for the beginning of the month. As well as an amazing reminder that every day we have an opportunity to write another chapter of our lives. March brings the turning of the wheel back to its birthing stage, Spring. Soon we will be able to see tiny buds starting to poke their way out to soak up the Sun and say Hello!. This month to honour that blooming I am offering Magickal Mentoring at a special price of $125 (reg. 175). During this three hour session, we will work with tarot, energy clearing techniques as well as get personal with how you want to expand your magick. Sessions committed to will be entered to win a Moonology Oracle deck and Moonology book. Winner will be announced April 1st, no fooling hehe. Click the FB link to connect and book your session or you can DM me. Have an amazing Sunday and an even better March. When talking about the chakra system we often hear how it's out of balance but not how to work with it on a daily basis to activate the system and individual chakras to utilize their intent for lifes magickal moments. This Saturday February 8/9th we have our Full Moon! The full moon in fire sign of Leo. Leo is represented by the Lion! This moon is asking you to be like the huntress of the lion pride. Take your time to put yourself in the right position to take control of your goals or pray. Take this weekend to work your personal growth and development. Sowing The Seeds Of Change Typically this spell should be done on the new moon, however, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use this spell in such a magical month (to be). Head to your local Seedy Saturday or green house to grab some seeds you'd like to see in your garden this year. On Feb 8 2020, the night of the Full Moon in Leo, draw a square in your yard, or dirt (window box or planter) that will hold the seeds. To do this find a "wand" or stick found in nature during a walk. Each corner will need a candle and special stone ( Small Crystal chips work best geared towards your intention). If you are using many small planters arrange them in a square and place the candles and crystals in the 4 corners. Green Candles / Crystals for Prosperity & Growth Yellow Candles/ Crystals for Happiness White Candles/ Crystals for Clear Thinking & Inspiration *Experiment with different Coloured Candles and Crystals that feel right for you Write down your intentions. Light The Candles while your reading your intentions. Push the seeds in the dirt with your finger and tap the seed with your wand while saying; "With loving intention I see my intentions grow. I am grateful to Mother Earth for nourishing me, while I nourish her. Thank You ( Angels, Universe, Higher Power) for helping me renew. " So Mote it Be Repeat with each seed as you push it in and tap with your wand. As you care and water your garden think of these little seedlings as yourself growing and being nurtured. When the time is right, plant your intentions outside. DM or use the Booking Link to set up your #fullmoon reading/ritual work. Message The Witch's Inn to book an appointment. Each 1♡1 Ritual Work booked and committed to are entered into a draw for a chance to win the Moonology Deck and Book by Yasmin Boland. *Spell structured and based on New Moon Spell from "The Book of Kitchen Witchery", By Cerridwen Greenleaf. AMAZING BOOK!!!

Hello Beauties!!! I swear I'm a head of the game or connecting with the flow of this practice because yesterday I did a post about manifesting and today he talks about it lol anyways... This one is great. Anyone else finding working in your solar pelux is bringing up some raw feelings? I'm not used to living in my joy. I don't get the sense my fire is burning me though. I get the sense my firenis burning away old habits that kept me there. And that can be tiring. The winter blues (or SAD) are setting in a bit, and with my chronic depression I need to becareful not to change too much at once or I can trigger it a relapse in my recovery. So this lesson today was a great reminder. Here's how I prevent burning out (or up); ❤ I am gentle with myself. I ask if this is an outside pressure or a pressure I'm putting on myself. From that I... ❤I evaluate if I have put to much on my plate, and get honest with my inner feeling around situations, are my boundries being stretched. ❤I sleep, rest or take part in self care. I have a nap most days to rest, and I'm aware I sleep later in the winter, adjusting my schedule accordingly. ❤I continue to incorporate a Daily Spiritual Practice. It fills my cup and also gives me the room to ask those hard questions. ❤ I get outside. The sun still shines even through the clouds. So I sit outside for 5 mins everyday to ground myself and help my (inner) flowers bloom. On very cold days I sit by a window and work. I'll be watching this a few times today as I feel there is a lot if great info that can be heard. Ihope you enjoy 🧡🕯
You are not Alone! Even when you are "alone" you have a community of Angels standing behind you waiting to assist you . All you need to do is ask. I am in constant communication with my Angels and past loved ones these days. I feel more supported and grounded when I communicate with them and allow them to guide my day. I also have a greater sense of where I am meant to put my energy. If you struggle in this area, I can assist through one on one ritual work. We dig deep into whats holding you back and create a loving space in which for you to explore that energy. Individual ritual work takes 2 to 3 hours of one on one time. Normally the cost is $150, this month I'm offering PWYC. Booking link in Bio or DM me for more info. The Witch's Inn 🧡🕯 #hamont #reiki #tarot #ritual #ritualwork @ Hamilton, Ontario
