At the beginning of November dōTERRA launched their Holiday Items. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of the quickest sellouts was the Serenity Linen Mist. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And for a good reason too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It smells incredible, and it's the perfect addition to your bedtime routine!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Since it's gone (at least until next year....hopefully), I thought I would share with you how you can make your own!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In a 4oz glass spray bottle, add 15-20 drops of Serenity, 2 teaspoons of Witch Hazel, and fill with water. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Give the bottle a little shake before each use, and lightly mist over your pillow and blankets 20 minutes before crawling into bed for the night. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Honestly, I love this guy!! I started dry brushing just over 2 years ago, but never really did it faithfully. Like, MAYBE once a month 🤦🏻‍♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here is another DIY gift idea that is perfect for your Secret Santa, your child’s teacher, or as an add-on for anyone who needs a little extra relaxation in their life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Simply combine 2 cups Epsom Salts with 1 teaspoon of FCO, and add 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil! Mix well with a spoon and pour into a pretty glass jar with a lid. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It has honestly held me back so many freakin times, and I'm finally sick of it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I don't always need to know the final step. The final step may change 20 times before I even reach it. All I need to do is take that first step and hope and pray I don't trip on it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This little peanut does not ever stop moving. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But the other night she got her hands on a small sheet of bubble wrap. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She sat in that spot and popped every single bubble, one at a time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It only lasted maybe 10 minutes, but I'm thinking Santa might need to bring her a roll of bubble wrap this year!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I posted a few weeks ago about making Slime with my girls, and I have gotten so many messages asking what recipe we used, so I thought I would share it with you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*1 cup of white glue (I got a huge jug from Amazon for less than $20 and we barely made a dent in it)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*2 tablespoons Elmer's Glue Magical Liquid (you may need to add more once you start mixing)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*bright food colouring - let your kids pick the colour they want from the back of the box, and have them mix it themselves by putting in the appropriate number of drops⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*4 drops of your fave essential oil - I like to keep the kids chill, so our choices included Adaptiv, Balance, Serenity, and Lavender, but you could also pick some bright, sunny scents like Citrus Bliss, Tangerine, or Lime. If you're getting into the holiday spirit, consider Siberian Fir or Holiday Peace!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Add everything to a bowl and start mixing!! Add more Magical Liquid if your Slime is still sticky, and really work it all together with your hands!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The last 2 years we have gone to Gingerbread House Night at our daughter's preschool. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once while our oldest was there, and again last year while our youngest attended. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was such a fun time, being with their little friends and their families, getting to talk and laugh and eat all the candy!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This year was a bit different, but luckily the preschool teachers are absolutely AMAZING and purchased Gingerbread Houses for all of the children to take home and decorate with their family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

12 years ago on this day I woke up to a million missed calls, and a text that said "Kelly died. Call me". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I remember being so pissed that my phone was ringing off the hook so early in the morning. I had only gotten home from work 6 hours earlier and had barely slept by that point. I remember Kelly asking me to go for coffee with the bouncers that night after work. I remember telling him I was so tired and needed to go home to bed (it was a Friday night and I had already worked 6 hours at my other job that day). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I remember hugging him goodbye and saying "See you tomorrow night!!" when we would both come back in for our next shift. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those were the last words I said to him. He got home from his coffee, told his wife he needed to lay down before he took the dogs for a walk, and he passed away. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I quit working at that bar a month later. There were many reasons I quit, but a big reason was that it was just too sad there without his smiling face. He was a big man, with an even bigger heart, and his presence was always felt when we worked together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He kept me safe, we laughed at the cougars together, and he stole my paperwork at least once per weekend.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have lost many people along the way. Grandparents, uncles, and friends. But this one hits different. There was no chance for a proper goodbye. There was no lead up to it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He was there one day, and gone the next. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's been 12 years, and I still think of him often. I sit here typing this with tears in my eyes for my co-worker. My protector. My friend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

How many times have you started something, only to quit 3 days in because it's hard??⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've done it. More times than I would like to admit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Tomorrow I'll start exercising!"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I do 3 squats and sit on the couch because it burns.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So recently I was sick. Like super sick for almost 2 weeks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don't worry, it wasn't 'Rona (I got tested 💪)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I was still sick and freakin miserable. I took a lot of baths when I could, but that also meant that I had these 2 little peanuts in the bathroom with me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let me tell you, it is extremely hard to sit and soak in a relaxing bath when your 3 year old chooses that 15 minutes to poop and need help, and your baby is just staring at your boobs and thinking she's about to eat 🤣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

BTW...I had a damn sinus infection 🙄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It was our first time making it, and honestly, the first time ever allowing it into my house 🤣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We LOVED this little project. The girls got to do a lot of it on their own, including choosing their colours and mixing them to get their desired outcome, and we have had hours of fun with this stuff!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This Candy Cane Sugar Scrub is super easy to whip up, and doesn't cost a lot either!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Grab some sugar, carrier oil, dōTERRA Peppermint, food colouring (optional), and a super cute jar from the dollar store. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*Types of Sugars to Use: Brown Sugar (great for sensitive skin), Turbinado Sugar (Coarsest due to large granule size) , Pure Cane Sugar (Unrefined white sugar is good for many skin types)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~1 Cup of Sugar of Choice⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Add 1 TBL of carrier oil at a time until desired consistency is achieved (you want to make sure it's not too soupy, otherwise the sugars will melt)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~Add 5-10 drops of Peppermint, mix well⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~Mix until well combined. Store in a glass jar. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
~To use, rub mixture over the entire body (avoid contact with the eyes), leave on for several minutes, and rinse thoroughly.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I have been MIA for a few days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Our oldest brought home a cold last week and decided to share it with our middle one, who shared it with the baby, who then shared it with me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sharing is caring, right??? 😂😂😂⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This steam mug is something that comes to my rescue every time I get the stuffy nose, congested head, and that general feeling of ass. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All you need to do is boil some water and add 1 drop of each oil (On Guard, Lemon, Oregano, Peppermint, and Frankincense) to a coffee mug. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once your boiling water and oils are added to the mug, close your eyes, lean over the steam and let it go to work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keep a box of tissues near by because everything will start opening up fairly quickly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I love this process because I usually begin clearing up right away, but I continue to do it 2-3x per day for 2 days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
By morning 3 (this morning), EVERYTHING is coming out and I'm finally feeling better!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
