Want to know what involves a Hearing Test? It's simple, educational, and very beneficial.

1.) The hearing aid specialist (HIS) will start off by asking you a few simple questions about your hearing history
2.) The HIS will look inside both of your ears with a soft end scope
3.) The HIS will then use a probe attached to a machine that reads pressure inside the ear
4.) You will then be seated inside a sound booth provided with head phones
5.) You will hear a variety of different sounds and beeps
6.) You will then be asked to repeat words
7.) A bone conductor sits behind the ear that isolates another pathway to hearing to the ear

Do you work in a loud environment? Do you hear a faint buzzing or ringing in your ears? You may be symptomatic of Tinnitus. Inquire now to assure you are on the right path to avoiding hearing loss.

Daily note: "A common problem, tinnitus affects about 1 in 5 people. Tinnitus isn't a condition itself — it's a symptom of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder.

Although bothersome, tinnitus usually isn't a sign of something serious. Although it can worsen with age, for many people, tinnitus can improve with treatment. Treating an identified underlying cause sometimes helps. Other treatments reduce or mask the noise, making tinnitus less noticeable".

Our family has been involved in the hearing care business for many years. Like most consumers we had noticed that the prices of common household electronics like laptop computers had been coming down year after year, but the prices of hearing aids seemed to be rising.

We decided to investigate the true cost of the hearing aids being sold to the people of Canada. Our conclusion was that many hearing clinics focus on selling a few hearing aids at large profits. The problem with this approach is that many people in need of aids are unable to afford them and those who can are overpaying.

We believe this is wrong. So we started Hear Right Canada. "Access to quality hearing care at low prices." Everyone should experience the joy of hearing. We have been able to partner with a few high quality manufacturers who share our vision.
