Balancing the Heart Space, a Self-Care Workshop

Who has been feeling a bit unbalanced, maybe low energy, slightly overwhelmed and burnt out lately? If so, you are not alone! These are common symptoms of an imbalanced flow of energy in the heart space. Which can happen due to giving more of yourself and not having space or time to give back to yourself.
This Sunday May 2nd, I will be hosting a Workshop at 10am via Zoom on connecting to your heart space! In this workshop I will be sharing some practices with you to rebalance your heart space to increase energy levels and feel more grounded in body and mind. Support stress and energy levels with Fat and protein!!

Stress, poor sleep, and a shifting routine can raise cortisol levels throwing blood sugar out of balance, making you feel groggy, unfocused, anxious, crave salt or sweets and cause weight gain.
~
Eating protein and fat at every meal will help to balance blood sugar levels, reducing the physical impact of stress on the body and help balance energy levels.
~
Most good sources of protein will also contain quality sources of fat, but adding some extra fat in the form of nuts, seeds, ghee, flaxseed or coconut oil will benefit mental clarity, energy, cravings and much more!
~
If you are eating a plant based meal try to get two servings of plant protein in the meal, as you want about 20 to 30 g of protein per meal.
e.g
1/4 cup h**p hearts 13 g of protein
1/4 pumpkin seeds 10 g protein
1/4 sunflower seeds 8.5 g protein
1/2 cup cooked beans (pinto, black, lentil) 8 g protein
1/2 cup split peas 8 g protein

It is important to express yourself. Every time you burry your voice to “keep the peace” or “not hurt someone’s feelings” you provide a disservice to yourself and others. You can establish boundaries and align with what is truly meant for you when you honour and express how you feel.
~
If this is a difficult process for you allow yourself time to journal your thoughts or talk to a trusted friend/therapist/coach, first. Notice what positive shifts occur as you start to authentically share yourself with others.

We all have access to Reiki, and with some guidance you could harness it’s nourishing abilities for your own good and the highest good of others.

The intention of Reiki is like so,
It encourages living for the present moment, it teaches you to release anger and worry, live in a state of gratitude and supports alignment and authenticity.
