It is impossible to feel grateful and stressed at the same time. Take a moment to breathe that in to your soul. A common link to modern day stress is fear, fear we may fail or even fear we will succeed! Fear of the number of emails we face, fear we aren’t good enough or fear there will never be enough hours in our day. Oodles of us can march through life without realising we live each moment with a subconscious fear of being rejected. Long term stress can lead to challenges hormonally, emotionally, can affect our food choices, digestion and more.

Responsibility for vitamin D supplementation of elderly care home residents in England: falling through the gap between medicine and food

Another article about Inadequate Vitamin D.

Long-term Care Residents and Inadequate Vitamin D

A recent study published in BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health reveals that residents in long-term facilities are still missing out on adequate vitamin D despite increased emphasis and recommendations over the last 20-30 years.

Aside from its role in bone health, vitamin D is vital to many other areas of health including muscle strength and immunity, especially critical to long-term care residents and the elderly.

In this study, the researchers identified four factors that may play a role in the inadequate vitamin D status among British long-term care residents: lack of awareness of national recommendations, ethical and practical issues, and the perception that vitamin D supplements are medications that need to be recommended or prescribed by the resident’s physician.

Overall, we all need to do a better job of taking care of our most vulnerable, and that includes re-emphasizing good nutrition, and in particular, ensuring adequate vitamin D status.

Introduction Daily vitamin D supplements are recommended for elderly care home residents; however, they are rarely given and vitamin D deficiency in care homes is widespread. This study aimed to understand the determinants of current practice and perceived responsibility for the vitamin D status of....

Strength Training vs Cardio: How to Build a Workout - Ask The Scientists

Calcium is Important, But Did You Know Your Bones Need Exercise?

By 40, you start losing bone mass at about one percent per year. Over time, this can lead to weaker, more fragile bones. The good news is that strength training slows the rate of bone loss. It may even trigger new bone growth. The force on bones during weight-bearing exercise like strength training, walking or running, leads to stronger, denser bones over time.

Don’t neglect your calcium, magnesium, and other bone-health nutrients. But strength training is an effective tool for maintaining and strengthening your body’s framework.

Read up on the different types of exercise you can do to improve your health and strengthen your bones.

Exercise is important, but it can be difficult to determine what regimen is best for you. There are benefits of strength training vs cardio and vice versa. Learn about the benefits of each to help you build a personalized routine to reach your fitness goals.

Common Food Dyes
Studies show that artificial colorings which are found in soda, fruit juices and salad dressings, may contribute to behavioral problems in children and lead to a significant reduction in IQ. Animal studies have linked other food colorings to cancer. Watch out for these ones:
Blue #1 and Blue #2 (E133)
Banned in Norway, Finland and France. May cause chromosomal damage
Found in: candy, cereal, soft drinks, sports drinks and pet foods
Red dye # 3 (also Red #40 – a more current dye) (E124)
Banned in 1990 after 8 years of debate from use in many foods and cosmetics. This dye continues to be on the market until supplies run out! Has been proven to cause thyroid cancer and chromosomal damage in laboratory animals, may also interfere with brain-nerve transmission
Found in: fruit cocktail, maraschino cherries, cherry pie mix, ice cream, candy, bakery products and more!
Yellow #6 (E110) and Yellow Tartrazine (E102)
Banned in Norway and Sweden. Increases the number of kidney and adrenal gland tumors in laboratory animals, may cause chromosomal damage.
Found in: American cheese, macaroni and cheese, candy and carbonated beverages, lemonade and more!

I have had several medical issues the past 7 years. My friend Anne Marie Anne Marie Circelli Jennings introduced me to VoxxLife.❤️ in fact I have worn out two pairs of socks as they have helped to give some relief from arthritis pain. Recently, I was given some NeuroVax patches to try with some pulmonary and immune issues. Now I was skeptical because how could this do something that my doctors haven’t figured out and replace pharmaceuticals. Really, I am willing to replace any pharmaceutical. Well I really put these patches to the test. With the recent rises in temperatures and humidity I was having to increase my inhaler daily. I have lung nodules and asthma along with autoimmune issues. I have a lot of coughing and sputum, not to give TMI but necessary for this. I put the first patch on and the following morning I had much reduced coughing and sputum upon rising. Always worse when first waking up. I continued to see this noticeable result the second day. Then I waited 48 hours for the next patch application because I wanted to see if the coughing and sputum symptoms increased again. And LOW and BEHOLD, unfortunately they did. Then I applied the second patch and I immediately saw reduced symptoms again first thing in the morning and throughout the day. I am a believer and if I can add something that is not pharmaceutical, and still follow my doctors instructions without adding others drugs, I am in. Totally sold on this product. Thank you Anne Marie Circelli Jennings for inviting me to this amazing product.
