In continuation of National Hispanic Heritage Month,
EPIC wants to highlight a fashion model and actress Jillian Mercado. As a wheelchair user due to muscular dystrophy, she is one of the few professional models who have a visible physical disability in the fashion industry. A prominent figure in the new wave of models challenging beauty ideals in the fashion industry, Mercado is keen to fight the lack of representation of people with disabilities in the fashion industry and their enduring stigma.
Jillian can be seen in movies such as The L Word: Generation Q (2019), My Eyes Are Up Here (2022), and Buzz: at&T Original Documentaries (2007). Having worked for brands like Olay, Target, Calvin Klein, and Nordstrom, and hit the runway for The Blonds. She's also shot for Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and CR Fashion Book.

We had an incident at work where some concerned staff requested our Admin to take further training on stapling as one of the intake packages had a staple that only held by one side of the staple. She even received a certificate for the intense training she took to rectify the lack of stapling skills. We always have fun at Ability Employment! Every lesson at work is a learning opportunity!

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals for our growing team. The ideal candidate should be apt in the production and management of the pre-and post-production of all photos and videos shown to the public.
Job Responsibilities
• Videoing off and on-site activities/events, capturing campus culture and producing instructional/promotional materials as needed
• Production and management of photographs to be used for marketing purposes
• Determine filming sequences, camera movements, and picture composition
• Setup and teardown of equipment
• Keeping post-production files organized
• Editing footage and photography in post-production
Qualifications:
Working towards a bachelor’s degree/diploma related to film, video production, or communication preferred
Skills and Experience
• Knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects & Photoshop) preferred
• Experience with DSLR photography equipment an asset
• Graphic Design or Social Media experience an asset
• Previous video editing experience, FCPX or Premiere Pro
• Has a positive, outgoing personality
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-starter/team player who is driven to produce high-quality product
• Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills
This position is open for videographers and photographers. Must have some experience in this field to apply.
Job Type: Internship, Part-Time or Full-Time
Hours of work: Monday to Friday (Flexible)
