To anyone struggling with gut pain, or simply having a hard time feeling comfortable in your skin YOU NEED TO TALK TO Robyn Stewart. You are worth figuring out what keeping you stuck, causing you pain and stealing your energy!

Listen to your body 🎧

This advice is given ALL the time on social media, from family and friends, and it is even advice that I often give to my clients
.
But, what does this really mean? 🤨
Without any context behind this advice, there really isn’t much direction to help people understand what listening to your body means and what it can do for you

If we ignore what our body is telling us, it WILL catch up to us and can have some negative consequences if ignored too long.
Unfortunately, our ego often gets in the way and instead of listening to what our body is telling us, we push back like a defiant toddler! 😤
.
Here are some examples of how your body can be trying to communicate with you and why you should listen
.
🗣Feeling exhausted and tired?
- Time for a rest day and to prioritize sleep
- If you don’t listen, you will rack up some serious recovery debt which will impact your training and how you perform in your various life roles (parent, employee, spouse, etc)

🗣Feeling hungry all the time with constant cravings?
- Might be time to stop eating in a calorie deficit and focus on maintenance for a while
- If you dont listen, your body will continue to tell you it is DONE with the calorie deficit with other symptoms (ie loss libido, irritability, brain fog etc), which can translate into negative metabolic and hormonal health issues

🗣Feeling energetic with less bloating since drinking more water and eating less processed foods?
- KEEP DOING THESE THINGS - it is your body telling you it is happy with your habit changes!

Remember your body is SMART and it does its best to communicate with you!
YOUR job is to listen to what it is telling you, and adjust your behaviours accordingly!
This is a skill, it requires intention and mindfulness, but it is something absolutely worth working on so you can feel your very best and give your body what it needs 💕

All of our internal dialog makes us believe that people do things because of us. We believe we make people sad, angry, or happy. We may think that people do amazing things for us because we are amazing, and we may also assume people do mean things to us because of something we have done... but the REALITY IS... everyone does things because of what is going on for them!

Like today I smiled at a stranger because I was feeling excited about life! ... not because that stranger looked like they needed smiling at, or they smiled at me first, or they looked sad or down... the truth is people do things based on what is going on for them, BUT we sure like to blame our behavior and emotions on others and take responsibility for the feelings of others... but when we do that we are lying to ourselves and the people in our lives!

We all want to "feel like" doing the things that are going to move us forward. True? - Be honest! If you felt like it, you would exercise every day, drink more water, eat celery, wake up earlier, and save your money for what you desire most!

The problem is all these things that are really good for us SUCK ASS!

But I am here to tell you, it doesn't always have to! You can actually program yourself to LOVE the PURSUIT of your GOALS!

For example I have conditioned myself to want to get up at 5am every single day... even on weekends! That is what I like. The same thing is true for my wife, she runs every single day!

You have to put effort into enjoying the pursuit of your goals or you will never reach them.

I can honestly say that I enjoy things that I used to hate... Waking up early, reading, putting my kids to bed!

I also am now disgusted with things that I used to LOVE! like drinking beer every day, ALL THINGS WITH SUGAR and napping!

I made a shift to enjoying things that push me forward, and disliking things that hold me back.

We are all waiting to feel inspired before we get started, but you will never feel inspired until you have energy for your goals! You have to JUMP IN AND TAKE CHARGE!

No, People Don't Change... They Grow!
Growth is about changing what things mean.

If a 2 year old can't have a cookie, that might mean the end of the world and an eye roll.

If a 12 year old can't have a cookie, that might mean my 'parents never get me,' and result in an eye roll and attitude.

At 22 when you want a cookie that might mean "Hell yeah! no one can tell be no!" and you may eat an entire thing of oreos!

Then at 32 when you want a cookie you may finally understand that at 2 and 12 your mom said no more cookies because she loved you, and you need to make that same decision to love yourself and say no to the cookies! ... or 42, or 52, or 62... whenever you decide you want to grow into treating yourself like someone you were meant to take care of!

- Here is the thing! We grow by default til about age 25, then we get settled into our "comfort zone" we think we are supposed to be pursuing comfort itself! I mean s**t 0-25 were a wild ride for me! I thought the point was to try to "settle down"

If you want to grow you have to do it consciously, and put effort into things. Just like it pi**ed you off at 2 and 12 when someone told you NO COOKIES. You still get experience, anger, sadness or fear whenever you don't get a vacation, a day off, or even to go out to a restaurant! Your emotions can be mastered through growth!

I have an obsession with helping people achieve their most important goals! I'm not talking about "I want to lose 20 pounds," Don't get me wrong... THAT IS AN IMPORTANT GOAL!

But what are you trying to achieve by losing 20 pounds? There is something more that being 20 pounds lighter will give you!

Is it more energy for your kids or your business?

Is it more confidence and self worth to bring to your personal relationships?

Or is it about your physical health and taking care of the only body you get to experience life to the fullest!?

No matter what is most important to you, Effort or "Force Energy" is needed to JUST DO THE S**T YOU KNOW WILL GET YOU THERE!

We all waste time searching for the best diet, most effective strategy, or perfect time to start our journey... but the truth is, you are wasting your time because you are scared!

You think "What if this doesn't work? What if I put in all this effort and still nothing changes? If I lose the weight and I still don't have any confidence?"

In the quest to achieve my own most important goals, I have found that what you need is create FORCE ENERGY and it's already inside you... It just needs to be activated!

If someone says I have no motivation, it means they have none to accomplish their "Shoulds" We can be motivated to watch netflix (we call it lack of motivation) or we can dig deep and find a WHY Stronger than the path of least resistance!

MOJO - Yes, your swagger, your confidence, your certainty, but also your faith in yourself. Know that no matter how long it takes, how many routes you explore you will arrive!
