Hardstyle Kettlebell Mtl is a school where we teach people how to move better and encourage them to move often. We train movement patterns rather than muscle groups, and pay special attention to how each movement is performed, reinforcing quality over quantity. We emphasize and teach the skill of strength and flexibility/mobility, and strive for balance and symmetry in each, like Yin and Yang. Our
training philosophy can be compared to traditional Martial Arts because we challenge our students to “practice” rather than “workout”. This is mindful movement. We train and teach through the use of minimal equipment, such as kettlebells and one’s own bodyweight because we believe that simplicity is key and less is more when focusing on attaining results. Our classes and programs are fun, effective, unique and stimulating for everyone, from beginners to athletes and all ages groups. We never compromise quality and our number one concern is “do no harm”. We are known for making strength and flexibility easy and attainable to anyone, and most of all enjoyable for life. Everyone that comes through our door goes though a movement assessment and is consulted for a training program to fit their schedule and budget. GOING THROUGH EMOTIONS TODAY
Presented to group of troubled youth at Horizon Alternative School.
It was hard reliving my own moments locked up in jail. Going through that experience that forged me. Many of these kids have already been in jail.
Relating with them was not my goal. My goal was to inspire them into a better way of life.
Strength training was that for me. It was something that held me together mentally for so many years.
One kid had a hoodie with his cousin's picture on it. I asked about it and he told me he got stabbed to death. He was stabbed too, but survived.
These are the types of kids I was talking to.
No matter how hard you may be, have all have feelings we must process.

-Train 2-3 × a week
-Choose 2-3 exercises
Warm-Up:
Down-Dog + Cobra: 2-3 × 2-3
Training: Glycolitic Power Repeats
Swing: 2-3 × 20-30 reps
Rest: 5-10 minutes
Get-Up: 2-3 × 1/1 between sets of Swings.

Tame the arm and clean up your Clean with the Row&Stand drill. (Row&Stand is one word because it has to be done as fast as you can say it).
Step 1. Start in a hinged position with a neutral spine over your Kettlebell and perform an explosive One-Arm Row. The key is the tip of the elbow is above the top of the shoulder.
Step 2. Combine the Row and “Stand to Attention”: Row&Stand!
Step 3. Set-Up with the Kettlebell behind you to start from a stretch load, dead-stop position. Now Row&Stand!
Now 4. Finally, set up as you would normally be. Hike back and Row&Stand!
Try these drills to tighten your Clean!

"Most trainees—kettlebell and other modalities—tend to settle into a speed most comfortable for the given exercise, the pace at which the momentum makes the exercise the easiest. Thus, they do lazy pendulum swings and rush through their get-ups. This is the opposite of what you want if you are determined to get maximum results. The sky is the limit when it comes to generating power with a moderate-size kettlebell. You do not need more weight, reps, or fatigue to take your swings to the limit: Just add power."
