Anyone else??

This usually happens when I’m sleep deprived, or when there’s ‘too much’ on my brain, and on my plate, and I’m trying to multi task.

Taking a day to refuel + renew yesterday, breathing in all that beautiful forest energy + oxygen yesterday was EXACTLY what my soul needed to recalibrate and get back into rhythm.

I still have days like this. Where either I’ve repeated myself more than once, or that I catch myself mid way through a sentence having no fu***ng idea what I was going to say next. #mombrain

The latest month I’ve been using not only my Focused Energy Adaptogens, but have also included Organic Lions Mane Mushroom Powder to help with my memory (also another #adaptogens)

Another thing I’ve been working on, is my ‘do less’ and accomplish more mindset.

Streamlining my daily to-do list and writing my WEEKLY to do list. Changing my perspective based on how I feel, what phase of my cycle I’m in. And choosing things that are going to make me feel good (because that’s the whole point anyways-right!?), and also things that are going to help push my business forward.

What are my top 3 priorities for my week, and asking myself 4 things:

👉🏼does this need to be done?
👉🏼does this need to be done RIGHT NOW?
👉🏼will this move me closer to my goal?
👉🏼is this good for my soul?

Sisters.. remember this. You don’t have to do it all. Get your z’s in. Move your body. Get out in nature. Focus on your 1 thing ❤️

If you knew that every single thing you experienced was a necessary part of your journey, how would you show up?

Things that have happened FOR ME in my life might not have been my fault, but it’s certainly my responsibility to work on them. And it’s my responsibility to create change for my daughter and the legacy I want to leave with her.

I take full responsibility for my wellness, my financial position, my mindset, my energy and the people I choose to surround myself with.

Last week @amoila_cesar said in one of our trainings… “No one is gonna sleep on #beachbody anymore.”

4.5 years ago I KNEW that it was time for change. I had no idea what that looked like, but I damn well knew what it could feel like.

So I jumped in. No toe dipping here. Head + Heart all in.

That man @carldaikeler that you see high-fiving me on stage at the last Summit we had (I walked across as a 2 star ⭐️ ⭐️ Diamond coach and had opened up my 2nd business center)… well he’s one of the most innovative, creative forward thinking man Ive ever met.

He’s also my business partner. He likes to rattle the cage a little. He’s a big dreamer, but an even bigger doer…. And brings all those dreams to life. I’ve been fortunate and blessed to have been introduced to him, and his vision.

And next week, that vision, that dream, this billion dollar company he started all those years ago is going public (ring the 🛎)

Things are just heating up friends… if there was any time to join and partner with me, it would be now. What’s the worst that can happen… you’ll get healthy? You’ll have a stronger mindset? Maybe make some money? Find a community of people that want to see you rise? Maybe build your own empire and team?

Did you know that dehydration causes mood swings? Bloating, acne and wrinkles??
Bad breath, muscle cramps, freakin headaches and check this out…. CRAVINGS for sweets!!!?!

It can also cause serious stress on your ticker.

So, friends… get up, go grab a glass of water, chug it back, full ‘er up again, and stay hydrated ❤️

Loving my gallon water jug today!! Back at it, and going for 3 litres a day. Even added in a bit of Himalayan Salts to add in more minerals!!

Breaking News: it helps a lot 🌱❤️

⭐️Side note: I’ve had so many friends comment on how great my skin looks lately. I believe that my skin is mostly a reflection of my INTERNAL HEALTH–it’s as simple as that.

While my new skin care #everskincare regime also contributes to a radiant glow, it’s what I’ve been putting into my body, and what I do to my body, that has been the real game-changer.

My ‘inside-out’ approach to beautiful skin includes plentiful sleep, frequent water + lemon intake, avoiding alcohol and processed foods, daily movement, sunshine and most importantly a nourishing vibrant vegan/plant based diet.

Gah!!!! I’m super excited to be competing to be in the cover of Muscle & Fitness HERS magazine!!!!

I feel so so honoured to be participating in this years Ms. Health & Fitness contest!!

At 52 years young and with a deep love and gratitude for anything wellness, I’m excited to be (once again) putting myself out there and out of my comfort zone.

A little about me: I am a mama of one wild child Maya who lives a plant based lifestyle, and who has a passion for all styles of movement! If it brings you ABSOLUTE JOY, then that’s what we should be doing!

I have been in the wellness industry for over 20 years, as a Pilates Teacher, Yoga Instructor and Movement Coach. We all have fear... the difference is some people just do it anyway.

That’s where success lives 🙌

These are some of the stories I’m told when I invite women who I KNOW would freakin fall in LOVE with this business... I know them well. These were ALSO some of MY OWN stories when I was first invited to this business. ⁣

⁣”This isn’t for me”
“I’m not like you.”⁣
“I’m not good at that.”⁣
“I’m not fit enough”⁣
“I don’t have the time.”⁣
“I can’t do what you do”⁣
“I’m not techy”⁣
“No one wants to hear my story”⁣

Or they just say no.

The walls we protect ourselves with only keep love + opportunities OUT. ⁣

What we think is protecting us, is actually limiting us. ⁣

💥𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘋 𝘛𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘈𝘎𝘈𝘐𝘕. ⁣

Over the last 4 1/2 years I have witnessed so many beautiful transformations... physical, mental, emotional + financial (yup, FINANCIAL- I don’t think I really talk enough about the IMPACT this has had on my own life financially)

I said no 3 times before I had the courage to ask what this was all about. I also told them that I didn’t
think that this was for me.

Honestly I thought I was above it all. I also had friends and some family members tell me that this would never work. I didn’t understand it. They didn’t understand it. This potential. The long term residuals. The impact that this would have in the current situation we’re forced to live in today.

My question to you if you’re thinking about this and have some self limiting beliefs, is not ‘can I do this’? ..... its “WHAT IF YOU CAN?”

I had to really control my portions last night, cause I could have seriously eaten the whole freakin thing in one sitting.

I’m most definitely a VOLUME EATER, and I although I’m a small framed woman, I can put away a lotta food.

I played around with some ingredients tonight, and ended up with this deliciousness!!!

MEAL PLANNING + MEAL PREPPING on a MONDAY NIGHT!

Quinoa + Black Bean + Toasted Pecans + Blueberries + Cilantro

5 Baggies to Freeze for my shakes- easy access!!
•1/3 banana
•1/2 cup blueberries
•4 slices zucchini
•1.5 cups baby spinach

Red Boston Lettuce + Red Leaf Lettuce cleaned + spun? And sliced up some carrots for snacks to go with my Turmeric hummus.

WHY MEAL PREP???? Because the relationship between looking ahead and successfully meeting ones goal is unfu***ng deniable.

When it comes to what you eat and HOW you eat, being prepared matters. For ALL goals. Whether that health + fitness, or being practice in your business. Trust me. Have nutritious healthy vibrant foods ready to FUEL you body and mind... you can do great things!

You get out what you put in. Period.

It’s also an incredible time saver!!

START SMALL- plan ahead just a few healthy snacks. Maybe plan for one or two days to start.

STOCK UP ON ESSENTIALS- invest in some good glass containers (when you can see your food, you’re more opt to eat it!!) mixing bowls, cutting board, good set of knives, blender, slow cooker...

PICK A DAY TO MEAL PREP- I usually do mine on Sunday evenings, or Mondays. Dedicate 2 hours (trust me, it goes faster once you do it more often!) it just has to work for YOU!

COME UP WITH EASY MEALS TO PREP- if you’re not COMMITED to a full on prep, start simple! Focus on no-fuss combos like quinoa, brown rice roasted veggies, chick peas, maybe some lentils, clean and spin salads, chop carrots + celery!

PREP STAPLES TO USE LATER- make soups, sauces, freeze baggies for shakes!

Include some no-cook staples too! Nuts + seeds, fresh fruit, make overnight oats. Anything that can help you save time!

HERE IT IS!!

Ok. Here’s THE LOW DOWN. By far... one of my best recipes EVER!

*take note to double/triple the batch the TACO SEASONING for future use!

*****SAVE + SHARE****

Vegan King Oyster Mushroom Tacos 🌮 w/ Avocado Cilantro Lime + Jalapeño Guacamole

INGREDIENTS:

King Oyster Mushrooms
•1 red pepper, sliced
•1 green pepper, sliced
•1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
•10 baby tomatoes, halved
•1/2 cup cooked black beans
•juice of 1 lime
•juice of 1 orange
•2 garlic cloves, minced
•1 jalapeño, chopped
•1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
•1tbsp olive oil
•1 tbsp maple syrup
•1/3 cup taco mix
•vegan sour cream
•daiya shredded cheese

TACO SEASONING MIX:
•1 tbsp chili powder
•1/4 tsp garlic powder
•1/4 tsp onion powder
•1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
•1/4 tsp dried oregano
•1/2 paprika
•1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
•1 tsp sea salt
•1 tsp black pepper

KICKASS GUACAMOLE 🥑
In a medium bowl smash together 2 ripe avocados, but leave some nice chunks in there too! Mix in chopped jalapeños, juice of 1 lime, baby tomatoes, and 1/2 cup chopped cilantro. Add garlic.
Sea Salt + Pepper.
Mix together and set aside, or refrigerate for an hour before serving

LETS MAKE IT!
1. Preheat oven to 400F
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, orange juice, Worcestershire sauce, taco spice seasoning mix
2. Prepare the mushrooms. Slice the caps off (but don't disgard!) Then using a fork pull downward and shred them to mimic shredded meat. You can also use your fingers, pinch the stem to shred-some thick, some thinner
3. Transfer to the bowl and mix until every little piece of mushroom is well coated.
4. Arrange on a large baking sheet in a single layer, spreading them out as much as you can
6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, taking the pan out at 15 minutes to stir thoroughly. The mushrooms are ready when they are just a bit crispy on the outside, and still have a chewy texture, and have retained some of the moisture from the seasoning mix
7. Smash the black beans in a small bowl and add 1 tsp of taco mix, if the consistency is too thick, add a bit of water or lime juice.
8. Sauté sliced peppers in veg broth or a 1 tsp olive oil and a bit of water.

LETS WRAP IT + EAT IT!!
