Looking to feel better, lose weight and improve your gut health (along with your mind/emotions), start increasing the amount of fiber you consume daily.

This is an essential nutrient and most are not consuming anywhere near enough each day. Amp up your daily hydration as well when increasing fiber and remember not to go crazy with increase - aim for 5-8ish more grams per day until you are eliminating regularly at least once per day, ideally 3 in the natural health world.

Eating well when traveling requires some advance planning. I make a bag with chia, flax and sunflower seeds, dried fruits, cinnamon, ginger powder and sea salt.
Also fresh fruits - even berries, which likely become jam given being crushed, :) along with a single serving cup. Once past security, I ask a coffee shop or non-dairy or go with water if that's not an option. Remember to pack a spoon.

These are a fave prep when its a 6h00 AM flight and an afternoon arrival like today. I get envious looks from my seat mates when I pull this out while they eat, over-priced, over-processed on-board food.

As you age, do you find yourself embracing more of your authentic self with confidence?

There is so much grace with aging when stay open to this, continue on learning, experiencing and consciously minding our thoughts, views and conversation about it.
Mind your mind, your words and your practices and write a new story about aging if yours has a negative edge to it. This alone has impressive power on the way we feel as we grow older (wiser is what I like to say😊).

Look up from your computer regularly and focus on long distance - horizon gazing.

This remedy here in the image (or a raw onion poultice placed on the soles your feet) are great ways to overcome the chronic cough that can accompany colds.
Save the image and put the recipe to test if you get sick.

Meantime, focus on health promotion and disease prevention consuming Lots of garlic and herbs. In any recipes where the amount of hears and spices are small - increase them 2 - 3 times. The healing powers are potent.

Well the TRUFFLES and BUBBLES workshop was just fabulous.
I had such a super group, all with fabulous energy and right in with hands-on creations of the Reese's style cups, the ganache filled Truffles and the Love Bites.
It was chocolate everything and everyone took home a cache of each chocolate treat to share with their loved ones. Well that's what they told me. :)

You need to read about this crazy scenario...

A few years ago a client, become cherished friend donated a kidney as part of a circle of donators and donee's. Post operation, one of the nurses and doctors directives to an organ recipient was to drink a cola every day for needed potassium. Yes, really.

When she inquired for other 'healthy' food sources of this essential mineral, both the nurses and the doctor could not answer the question. In fact the doctor responded saying no one had ever asked him this before.

Its astounding and tragic to hear soft drinks are suggested as a source of nutrients.

A multitude of nutrients are needed for strong bones including 12 minerals.
Yes calcium, along with boron, magnesium, chromium, sulfur, manganese, silica, iron, selenium, phosphorus, zinc, potassium.
Save the chart for the best, full spectrum sources of whole foods.

The past ten plus days had me fully focused on one of the most creative, seductive 'foodie' projects I've even taken on. Even my Organic Or**sm dinner workshop can't compare. This dinner gig was part of the House of Desires weekend hosted by Meg Williams https://www.megwilliams.org/

Her theme was the inspiration for the menu with - 'engage all the most sensual senses possible' as my mission. I sought out marrying exotic ingredients/flavors, textures, colors, aromas, mocktail sips and guess-what-it-is creations. The guests were impressed!

Our venue was just beautiful, Meg and her husband Ian- an instant vibe connect, and the guests - well just look at them! All, truly wonderful souls.

My side kick Rachel Richard worked her magic - all we were missing was LeeAnn of Adventure Photography yet Rachel managed to capture some pics while serving the guests with her joyful charm.

There will be more of these experiences. To think Meg and I, just 'happened' upon our connection. Or perhaps there was some alchemy involved. 🙂

Amp up your health with this info sheet reminding you where to find the nutrients you need. Tuning into your body's constant conversation to you - aka symptoms, and responding accordingly is a fabulous way to regain great health and well-being.

Look to invest in the best quality food you can and stay present and grateful when you are enjoying it. So much of our overall health is related to our gut and too many of us suffer from digestive and absorption challenges. Do what you can to enhance our gut health. I'll share more info on this for I too need to improve my nutrient absorption. Stay tuned and if you aren't following me, I invite you too :)

The best, whole food power bars and balls are the ones you make yourself.
You can vary ingredients and create new versions as you wish.
Here is a long time favorite recipe. Sub in different nuts or seeds, use coconut mana / butter for oil-free and consider 1/2 blueberry or beetroot powder with the cacao powder. Yummy!

SUPER STAMINA POWER BALLS

INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup raw cacao powder
1½ cup almonds, finely ground (anti-inflammatory calcium rich ‘alkaline’ protein)
1/2 cup organic coconut flakes, unsweetened
3/4 cup Mid Eastern or Medjool fresh dried dates, pitted (Mineral rich source of carbs)
¼ cup extra virgin organic coconut oil Gently warmed to melt.
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp fine grey sea salt (A source of trace minerals - electrolytes.)
1 – 2 heaping tsp Maca powder optional
H**p seeds, to sprinkle bars or roll balls in (Omega 3 rich)
Optional 1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:
Process cacao powder, coconut and almonds until well mixed.
Add dates, coconut oil and sea salt; puree until mixture sticks together. If needed add a little more coconut oil or dates to adjust texture to desired stickiness and level of sweetness as dates vary in taste and moisture level.
Shape into 1 inch balls, 2 inch patties, press into an 8 x 8 square baking dish and cut into bars or into an 8-9 inch pie plate for a raw pie crust. Roll balls/patties in h**p seeds or sprinkle bars. Chill for a minimum of one hour. For bars, cut into desired size and wrap individually in parchment paper and for a pie crust, press into pie plate and chill or freeze before filling. These need to be stored in the fridge or freezer for up to 3 weeks.

TERI'S TIPS:
If the dates you are using aren't nice and moist, soak them in hot water 1-=15 mins then drain and use. Save the water to sweeten beverages.
FYI Coconut oil is a med chain saturated fatty acid providing an easily digested and accessed source of energy.
Add scoop of your favorite protein powder if you wish

A fabulous, fast meatless burger - the Portobello Mushroom.
Recipe below.

If you don't want to eat as a regular burger then pair with roasted peppers, tomatoes and red lentils (your main protein source). Serving over a bed of pseudo grains such as buckwheat groats, millet, quinoa or pureed squash, steamed Swiss Chard, kale or spinach. A drizzle of balsamic reduction or pomegranate syrup is a delish addition.
