It is with sadness we are wishing Kathy Dittman goodbye and best wishes from the Driving Miss Daisy family. We are very grateful for the 5 years of service you have given to Ottawa East. Please stay friends.

With the current lock down in senior residences and everyone asked to stay at home, we would like to let everyone know we are available and ready to do errands. Conrad has decided not to have people in the car.
Yesterday Conrad was hired to do a grocery shopping run.
He has passed out his business card to local pharmacies to let them know he is available to do deliveries.
He has a scheduled run to an LCBO next week.
As a franchise business with ongoing expenses regardless of revenue, we will still need to charge.
Understanding that not everyone has the resources to pay, I welcome anyone to post links here to volunteer groups who have popped up to support those who need it.
Being Ottawa wide I will post the first one which is based in Stittsville. This page allows anyone who is a member to post so as you find out about groups please share here for everyone.

Such a great story!

A very valuable service for those thinking about moving or for adult children going through this process with their parents.

Hi I’m Amy McConnell,
When I met Betty she was super resistant to moving. Her family knew with her Alzheimer’s worsening and with their busy schedule that they simply could not manage Betty’s care any longer.
Betty was only living on a single floor and couldn’t climb stairs anymore. And her frustration was beginning to boil over – she was often argumentative towards her family and friends isolating herself further.

By providing our complimentary service, my team and I used our expertise to work with Betty’s family to overcome the challenges often faced by families in this situation – saving them over EIGHTY hours.

When we narrowed down the choices, it was Betty’s turn to make the final decision of where she would live.
When I run into Betty at her new residence, she is always so thankful for Tea & Toast finding her the right retirement home for her. Her family says they have never seen Betty so happy.

Does Betty’s story sound familiar? Are you currently facing the challenges that come with finding the best retirement home for your loved one?
If you are wasting countless hours searching for a retirement home in Ottawa and facing challenges along the way, I may have the answer.
I have developed a free guide that you can instantly access right now to learn the top challenges faced by families just like you looking for a retirement home in Ottawa.
