September 2021's Full Moon In Pisces Sets the Stage for Magical Breakthroughs

This watery, mystical full moon boosts intuition, magnifies spiritual growth, and might even bring lots of luck.

As grounded, influential Virgo times comes to a close, you could find yourself looking at the calendar and realizing that 2022 isn't really far off. It feel like the future is around the corner, inspiring imaginative plans, dreams, and conversations around what you want the next few months to look like. It might even be tough to get clear on all the specifics — something that Virgo excels at and works hard for.

The moon serves as your emotional compass, ruling over our intuition and sense of security. Every month, when we see the moon at its most full, shimmery, and luminous tends to think about our goals and thinking about what’s going on in our life.

Full moon vibes are also famous for upping the wild factor. We run an errand and can't help but run into congested traffic and road rage at every turn, your neighbors are partying on a weeknight, or a client calls you with irrational demands. That said, it's worth investigating what's really going on at the root of these WTF moments be.

Full moons turn up our volume of emotions; especially those that are often ignored so that you can carry on day to day without having to deal with anything uncomfortable. But this lunar phase tends to bring any pent-up feels to a boiling point so that you have to deal with it and release it once and for all.

That's why full moon drama tends to be the result of people reaching that point and projecting or, ideally, talking about any previous or brushed off feelings or /and pain, trauma, or stress.

This full moon in Water sign Pisces, symbolized by the Fish, is ruled by the mystical planet of illusion Neptune and rules the twelfth house of spirituality, karma, dreams, and private matters. People who have Pisces placements are super compassionate, empathic, emotional, artistic, and often psychic.

Time to be; creative, romantic dreamers who shamelessly flaunt rose-colored glasses as they float through life. But be aware that it energies may bring us towards the deep end of their own difficult, complex, at-times-painful emotions, and as major empaths, tend to pick up other people's emotions and carry them around. It can be a little too much for a sensitive Fish person, which is why boundary-setting is so necessary for their well-being.

Together, these two energies set the stage for what's referred to as the Harvest Moon, the full moon that occurs closest to the Autumn Equinox.

A change of season falling at the same time as an emotional, culmination-spurring full moon can certainly be dramatic, but a key aspect of the lunar event is a positive, uplifting, optimism-bringing one.

The planet of communication, Mercury, will form a harmonious trine to Jupiter, the planet of fortune, just an hour before the full moon, setting a jovial, sunny tone for our communications. Expect heartfelt, healing conversations with loved ones, the arrival of news you've been waiting on and wishing for, or animated brainstorms and the ability to forge new, productive connections.
It also bears noting that the moon cozies up to Neptune, its ruler, indicating amplified emotional sensitivity plus heightened intuition and psychic perception. Dreams could be more vivid, and it might be harder to tease out what's real from what's imagined.

And because the full moon is happening at 28 degrees of Pisces — almost in Aries, which is Libra's opposite/sister sign; while action-oriented Mars sits at just 3 degrees of cardinal air sign Libra, they're considered to be in a weak opposition, laying the groundwork for deep, previously unacknowledged feelings to potentially reach a boiling point, spurring fiery drama. But Mars in conflict-averse Libra is more apt to dodge confrontation, and the moon in Pisces is more concerned with spiritual well-being and healing, so impassioned blow-ups could get smoothed over faster than they would during a more volatile full moon.

Messenger Mercury will also be close to an activating square to transformative Pluto in Capricorn, which can spur intense interactions and productive deep dives that can help you uncover hidden information. Just watch out for manipulative tactics used to push an extreme agenda.

All that said, this full moon is mostly coloured by lucky, optimistic vibes, and has the potential to leave you feeling more spiritually aware, centred, and inspired.

Happy Friday 13th

Up until the patriarchal revolution, both Fridays and 13s were held in the very highest esteem. Both the day and the number were associated with the Great Goddesses, and therefore, regarded as the sacred essence of luck and good fortune.

Thirteen is certainly the most essentially female number -- the average number of menstrual cycles in a year. The approximate number, too, of annual cycles of the moon.

When Chinese women make offerings of moon cakes, there are sure to be 13 on the platter. Thirteen is the number of blood, fertility, and lunar potency. 13 is the lucky number of the Great Goddess.

Representing as it does, the number of revolutions the moon makes around the earth in a year, 13 was the number of regeneration for pre-Columbian Mexicans. In ancient Israel, 13 was a sanctified number. Thirteen items were decreed necessary for the tabernacle. At 13 years of age, a boy was (and still is) initiated into the adult Jewish community.

In Wicca, the pagan goddess tradition of Old Europe, communicants convene in covens of 13 participants. Thirteen was also auspicious for the Egyptians, who believed that life has 13 stages, the last of which is death

August 2021 New Moon square Uranus brings sudden and unexpected change, instability, chaos, and revolution. An unsettling feeling of impending change can make you feel excited but also restless, anxious, and nervous. This, in turn, can lead to abruptness, unreliability, impulsiveness, rebelliousness, unpredictable behavior, rapid changes in direction, and even accidents.

This new moon aspect can amplify your ego and pride. You may feel a strong urge to express your true inner self without restriction. But willfulness and arrogance could easily lead to ego conflicts, especially if you take on superiors.

This is not a good time for impulsive changes but you may have to react to change. And the best way to do this is with flexibility, creativity, and inventiveness. Avoid stubbornly sticking to routines if the universe is sending messages that you need to change. Open-mindedness and higher self-awareness can lead to a brave new path with exciting possibilities and opportunities.

Today's Card: Thecla

Writing and interpretations of the Tarot’s “Strength” card started with the idea of “force”, sometimes depicted by Hercules killing a lion, or the idea of overcoming outer obstacles with one’s muscles. Most modern decks apply qualities such as power, energy, action, and courage.

When adding the astrological association with Leo (July 23 – August 22), we find the element of fixed “fire” with attributes such as leadership, bravery, self-confidence, and big-heartedness.

What I like to say about the Strength card is that it reminds us of our inner strength, the power of balanced emotions, tuning to the truth of our hearts, and having the courage to be our most authentic self.

The modern Tarot card image of the woman (sometimes in white) as she is holding the mouth of a lion can appear forceful or gentle, depending on the deck….which in both creates a dynamic contrast.

Now I have a deeper and more spiritually profound understanding of the real power immersed in Strength that I would like to share with you. This understanding reaches back 2000 years to the period just after the time of Christ when Paul was traveling through villages in the Middle East and around the Mediterranean, spreading the teachings of Christ in a time when this was forbidden.

In one of the earliest Christian scriptures found to date, The Acts of Paul and Thecla, condemned in the late 2nd century and thus lost to many, we find the hidden meaning of true strength in the story of Thecla.

The key part of this story beautifully illustrates the power of Love over Fear, what I believe is the essential meaning of this image exemplar.

Thecla as a 17-year old lived in a time where she had no power or rights as a female. As a beautiful woman, family and society wanted her to be subservient, men tried to posses her. But, when she heard Paul speak of Christ and his lessons, something resonated with her soul and she defied the expectations placed upon her and chose to follow Paul, leaving her home. For this her own mother tried to have her burned at the stake, but Thecla’s courageous belief in love over fear resulted in a thundercloud appearing just in time to extinguish the fire (Leo) with water.

Thecla left her village to travel at the side of Paul, knowing the danger of following a path that was outlawed, yet this ministry was now her life, her strength. Once in Syria, the President eyed this beautiful young woman and tried to take her as his own, but she resisted this powerful man by making a public scene that shamed him. For this his court condemned her, sentencing her to death in the stadium where she was stripped, hands tied, and left for the wild beasts to destroy her before the cheering crowd.

A ferocious lion approached Thecla, but she had the bare conviction of pure love that stopped the lioness’ charge and she lay down at her feet. The officials sent more wild animals in, but the lioness protected Thecla from harm. Eventually, the women in the crowd opened their hearts and began to scream for the innocence of Thecla…this deep feminine spirit had lead the way for love to touch their hearts as one.

Our Story

One of the most common questions I get asked is, when did I realize I was psychic?..... The answer is that I was born a psychic-catholic. I am a psychic medium and healer from a lineage of very spiritual and empathetic women. It was in my childhood that my psychic ability became apparent with prophetic dreams and medium experiences. On one hand my gifts where beginning to unfold, yet on the other hand I was being burdened with a sensitivity that I had no idea how to use or even understand. Thus began a long and at times painful journey to develop the empathy and maturity to truly help others with my psychic gifts. Without the internet and from a small home town no one to share these experiences. My destiny helping others with my psychic and healing gifts became very clear after I experienced for several traumatic situation. Got stonger and more clear with my visions. Naturally learning the Tarots and Runes, still learning and will continue learning. No matter your spiritual path, Roxy will do her best to help you on that path. Pulling in guides, angels, and loved ones she will pass along their information to you. (Clients describe Roxanne as gifted, kind hearted, straight to the point and highly insightful. It is no surprise that she has helped people the world over more then 25 years. Roxanne is truly a gift who is gifted.) I related to Goddess Diana, let me introduce you a bit about her: Diana is the Roman Goddess of the woodlands, wild animals and of the hunt. In ancient times as Rome's contact grew with Greece, Diana was more and more identified with the Goddess Artemis. In time the two Goddesses became virtually identical, though in modern times she is usually identified as "Diana". Diana is most often portrayed a hunter, often with a bow and quiver, accompanied by maidens, hunting dogs, or deer. In this aspect she is considered to be a pure and virginal Maiden Goddess of the Moon. Diana is honored by women because of her association as a Goddess of childbirth, nursing and healing. In this aspect she is considered to be a Mother Goddess. Because Diana was also identified with darkness and witchcraft and served as a Goddess of the Underworld, she is also considered a Crone Goddess. And God APOLLON (or Apollo) was the great Olympian god of prophecy and oracles, healing, plague and disease, music, song and poetry, archery, and the protection of the young. He was depicted as a handsome, beardless youth with long hair and various attributes including:--a wreath and branch of laurel; bow and quiver; raven; and lyre and my last one for now is: Brigid is a Celtic triple goddess ruling healing, poetry, and smithcraft. She is one of the great mothers of the Celts. (The Celts had many mother goddesses, including Danu and Morrigan.) Variant forms of her name include Brid, Bride, Brighid, Brigit, pronounced either as "breed" or with a softened "g" sound. She is also known as Brigantia, Briginda, and Brigdu. Her Welsh name in Ffraid. Her modern name is Brigit or Bridget as derived from her Christianization into St. Bridget. Her name, Brighid, thought to be derived from Bhrati in Sanskrit, is originally an epithet meaning "exalted one". The Romans equated Brighid with Minerva and she can be similarly equated with the Greek Athena. Brighid is best known for her associations with healing, poetry, and smithcraft. As a healing goddess, she governs childbirth and the birthing time. Brighid was highly regarded as a healing goddess as can be seen from the numerous healing wells dedicated to her all over Ireland. As a goddess of poetry, she governs not only the inspiration and writing of poetry, but also divination and prophecy. As a goddess of smithcraft, she governs the forge's fire. It is for these reasons that she is considered the "Bright Goddess" and is associated with the element of fire. In all her forms, she brings to one inspiration (a fire quality) and provides the spark for motivation. Her fire associations are so strong that a perpetual fire was set at Kildare in her honour. The fire still burns there today. She also became the goddess of the hearth-fire, the fire of the home, since she contains the mother and fire aspects. As a goddess of the hearth, she is equated to Greco-Roman Hestia-Vesta. My professional career sharing my psychic and healing abilities to help others began at this time. I started reading Tarot in 1992 and ever since these events, I have become very sensitive to communicating with loved ones that have crossed over after losing my best friend in grade 3 and many more close one. Lost my Mother 3 years ago really push me into my abilities. I also specialize in love, relationships, career and destiny readings for my clients. I am able to use a wide variety of divination tools and provide relief from pain, suffering and in many cases a miraculous healing from the most challenging physical, health and emotional ailments. I look forward to connecting with you and sharing my psychic and healing abilities to bring greater love, clarity, confirmation and health to you now and in the future!
