March is Pharmacist Appreciation Month.

Your pharmacist is an integral part of your healthcare team. Not only do they help you manage your medication, but they can also provide guidance on medication appropriateness, help you develop a care plan, and monitor you as you take your treatment. Depending on your province, they may also be able to prescribe, adjust or substitute medications, renew a prescription, or order, perform and interpret lab tests.

Be sure to talk to your pharmacists and make sure you know of all the services that they can provide.

Today is World Obesity Day.

While the exact link between psoriatic disease and obesity is unclear, we do know that obesity is a well-known risk factor for psoriasis. The World Health Organisation defines obesity as having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 30. We know that people living with psoriatic disease can see a positive impact on their psoriasis by losing weight, even 5 or 10 pounds.

If you are overweight and live with psoriatic disease, talk to your doctor about what steps you can take to manage your weight.

Hi everyone - please feel free to delete this post if it goes against this group's rules.

My name is Jessica and I work at MD Analytics, a Canadian-owned market research firm specializing in the healthcare industry (https://www.mdanalytics.com/en/). I’m reaching out today because we are conducting a study exploring the experiences of those living with pustular psoriasis. Eligible respondents would complete a 60-minute virtual Zoom interview and, upon qualification and full completion of the interview, will receive a $100 CAD incentive. We would ensure that the identities of all participants remain anonymous and there will never be any attempts from my company to sell or promote any products to participants. If you're interested in participating in this research opportunity, you can fill out your information at this link (http://study.mdanalytics.com/84) or reach out directly to myself at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your time and potential interest!
