It is with a heavy heart we share that Darren Matchee Ottawa, a long time resident with OFP has passed away last night in hospital.

Sending our condolences to his family and friends. He will truly be missed and we hope you can all find a little comfort in the memories you have of Darren.

Speech to text and voice recognition can be a very powerful tool for people with disabilities to take control of their surroundings. Of course one of the problems is that this technology can be hard to access for people who have difficulty speaking clearly.

Google is working on improving their speech recognition engine to serve people with impaired speech more effectively.

We partnered with the Ontario Digital Literacy and Access Network to provide 2S-LGBTQ+ seniors with data-enabled iPads and technology training. We are actively working towards an inclusive society where all seniors have access to free digital skills training and support! As our world becomes increasingly digital, we’re making sure that no one is left behind!
