Hey SCBScN Family!

URNSS met with faculty to discuss the summer/fall semester in relation to restrictions and delivery methods. These are the main points retrieved from the meeting:

- Lecture and seminar will be held online/virtually
- Labs will be held both online/virtually and in person: scheduling regarding labs TBD
- Faculty increased the number of clinical groups to ensure every student will have their clinical placement
- Governing bodies have put measures in place regarding working in more than one facility. For example, if you are a nursing student with a clinical placement, you cannot work in long-term care simultaneously. Extra measures may be taken by specific facilities. For more information, speak to your employer
- Research may be modified (may be off the unit, virtually, or delivered another way) TBD
- CNUR205 will be increased to 12 hour shifts to limit the amount of times students step on unit: this means a decrease in the number of days clinical is held, but the same number of hours will be completed

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact your Year Representatives!

Thank you 😊
