1 week until International Day of Persons with Disabilities!

Here are some questions to reflect on leading up to December 3rd

o How do you relate to “Not all Disabilities are Visible”? (The UN’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities theme for 2020)

o What words do you use to describe the Independent Living Philosophy?

What makes a disability invisible? An invisible disability is a physical, mental neurological condition that is not visible from the outside, yet can limit or challenge a person's movements, sense, or activities. Disabilities are vastly diverse, meaning no two people are impacted in the same way

Congrats QCDS! May the wind always be at your back.

BIG NEWS! Today, after twenty years of serving the community, the Wind on my Wings Sailing Club is pleased to announce that we have chosen a new name and logo. In the coming months you will become familiar with the new and refreshed, Queen City Disabled Sailing Club.
You’ll see the new look anywhere we’re out in public, our new website and Facebook. We believe the new look better matches what we’ve become since 1998.
Our design goal was to better match how we look to our values and the users we serve. Throughout this process, the Queen City Disabled Sailing club will continue to host a creative and safe environment for people with disabilities to flourish by offering an amazing inclusive outdoor experience. As a club we will also continue to focus on our key objectives, which are to provide people with disabilities in Regina the opportunity to dream and grow through the experience of sailing. Also to have every person who participates in our program come away with improved self-confidence, self-esteem, and a new sense of adventure. As we further emerge into this exciting phase of growth, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal members and business associates. We look forward to serving you under the new Queen City Disabled Sailing brand. Stay tuned for many exciting updates on the way!

Good Afternoon!
I'm wondering...does anyone have left over sewing material, etc. that they woudl like to get rid of? If so, we would glady take it off your hands and pick it up. FYI - As part of a project, we will be formulating a new FASD quilt (from donated material) for the September 2018 -FASD Walk. Thank you :)

A BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Uy Do, computer genius, of Regina SK, for cleaning up my "ancient" HP Compaq desktop PC, which was performing poorly due to lack of available data space! He discovered that I had 213 available GBs in my temp folder (of a total available of 297GB). He cleaned it up, so now I've once again got 213 GBs free for my hard disk - and am now only using 84GB!!
