Rideau Valley Diabetes Services (RVDS)

Its catchment area includes Lanark and Leeds-Grenville Counties. Vision: People in our community affected by diabetes will live healthy lives and easily navigate a coordinated system of care. Mission: Rideau Valley Diabetes Services is accountable for providing accessible services to assist people affected by diabetes to develop their knowledge, strengths and skills to live healthy lives. RVDS partners with other providers to offer coordinated diabetes prevention, education and management services in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville counties. RVDS offers Educational programs, Individual Counselling with both a registered nurse and registered dietitian, Multidisciplinary Clinics supporting clients through healthy lifestyle changes and reaching blood sugar and cholesterol goals, Diabetes Check-In information sessions where the participants get to choose the topics and events, and Special Events including a conference and in service training for health care professionals.
