This is our second activity challenge!

Similar to our first challenge, you can take a picture during or after you complete each task and make sure to tag .

Let's talk about 'Sedentary Behaviour'

Sedentary behaviours are activities that do not involve much movement. This could include watching movies, driving in a car or lying in bed on your phone.

This is an issue because studies find that sedentary behaviours increase the risk of developing health conditions such as obesity, decreased mental health and increased susceptibility to injury.

How can we change that? We can simply take the stairs instead of the elevator, limit our recreational screen time or walk to school or work.

All of these things will help reduce sedentary behaviours in your day-to-day life.

Let’s talk injury prevention!

Sedentary behaviours are a major contributor to injury.

Those who live a sedentary lifestyle increase their chances of fall risk exponentially.

We can decrease our risk of injury by swapping our sedentary habits for active ones. This can include taking the stairs, functional movement training, walking, etc.
